Dr. Aneta Homer, MD

Dr. Homer was fixated on me losing weight despite me telling her I had a history of an eating disorder. She never listened to me, she refused to give referrals to specialists, and she talked down to me about my weight. I suffered for months with gallbladder attacks and she just called me fat. Then I started throwing up blood in my sleep - she told me I needed weight loss surgery despite my insistence that I didn’t want surgery. By the time I got a new doctor I had bleeding ulcers and was in the beginning stages of heart failure from pulmonary hypertension. If I hadn’t gotten a new doctor I would have died. She’s probably a fine doctor if you’re perfectly healthy and thin but if you have any problems or are overweight she’s useless and callous.

I reached out to Dr Homer to start my weight loss journey and let her know that surgery was out of the question. She listened to me and gave me other options. She went through all of my health history (I am also a cardiac patient) and took the time to understand why I wanted to lose weight and what the end goal was. She started me on weight loss shots - and after MUCH patience from her staff (Rachel) dealing with my insurance company, she got me started on the right path.

Dr. Homer is very knowledgable young physician. She works with her patients and make a therapeutic plan based on both point of views. I am in the health care field and she makes sure to share with me the latest information regarding my health issues. She takes her time with her patients.

After 20 yr. with my old primary, I became a new patient at Dr Homer's office and saw NP in her office two times. I had to have an MRI and never got a call about my results. Then, had to have a follow up with my primary after a surgery. Doctor’s office moved down street. Got a call day before my appointment and they left a message asking if I got a new primary physician and if not, the doctor could still see me. I went in thinking it was a message to wrong person. When I got there the office said that the doctor could see me for surgical follow up but could not take me on as a new patient. NEVER was I informed that I would no longer have a primary care physician. Also, never told that the NP did not be follow the doctor to new office. So here I am after thinking I had a new doctor’s office with no doctor at all.
