Dr. Anil Puri, MD

I think sometimes when we don’t hear what we want to hear, people get a bad rep. I am speaking from my experience with Dr. Puri. Dr. Puri is straight laced and gives you the best plan he feels will work for you. I don’t believe that he only does that for me. I really believe he does this for all his patients. If we win, he wins. If you are looking for an effective way to heal, choose Dr. Puri. If you really want to have better health, if possible because remember he is not God, choose Dr. Puri. If you want to do the work because he can only suggest, choose Dr. Puri. Best Doctor Ever!!

After a 2 hour wait to see the doctor, with only a chest x-ray done and intake by an assistant, I threatened to leave due to a situation at home and I couldn't wait any longer. The doctor magically appeared from upstairs with a nurse. We discussed my pulmonary test results and the x-ray they took, he used a four letter word within minutes of starting to talk, prescribed an inhaler, showed me how to use it, suggested I qualified for a special type of chest scan and return in 2 weeks. Not impressed. The 2 hour wait alone was ridiculous since I didn't see any other patients waiting to see him. I only saw patients apparently waiting to see an older gentleman who I guess was a doctor also. That doctor spoke to me gently on the hallway when he realized how upset I was. That was when Dr. Puri appeared from upstairs. I will not be returning.

Dr. Puri listens and I liked him at first, but unfortunately, he owns a sleep center and I felt like I was being pushed into supporting it even though I did not have any complaints about sleeping. Conveniently he mentions the sleep tests. My insurance did not support it either. It was the same with balance testing; several appointments that never ended. I have two friends that encountered these same incidents and they too no longer see Dr. Puri. I did not like his office staff; Did not like that you walk in and instead of being greeted and acknowledged, the reception area is closed and you never know how to check in and meet your appointment time. Yet you hear the staff laughing and talking, ignoring your arrival. Not for me.

Very caring and understanding, listens to my concerns. Provides answers and checks up on me in between regular visits. Always reachable by phone. Excellent best doctor I've ever had. Sometimes the wait time is a bit long, but he takes the time necessary for his patients so, it might mean you have to wait a little longer than usual. But the wait is worth it.

Excellent doctor but poor front staff

Amazing doctor with tons of knowledge and experience. Highly recommend Dr. Puri!

Dr. Puri is nice guy and seems very knowledgable about many disease states, but his office staff has been difficult to deal with. His Eatonton office is new and not fully functional requiring additional visits to his Milledgeville office for certain tests/procedures.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Puri to my family and friends. I do strongly recommend customer service training for some of his staff.
