Disapproving and Disappointing
Dr. Agerwal is an internal medicine doctor and with that comes a myriad of problems in her patients. In the process of speaking with me, perhaps 6-7 appointments, she has come across as judgemental and hyper-critical. She seems very smart but does not have a good bedside manner. I put up with it because of her intelligence, but was planning on finding a new doctor, when I was notified that she left the practice.

She makes excellent recommendations regarding appropriate medications based upon what I share with her, and after thorough examinations while I'm in her office. She understands how to prescribe the several medicines I need without, without them interacting with each other in an adverse manner.

If I were to describe my experience with Dr. Agarwal in one word it would be "dismissive". I don't think she listens or cares to address the heart of issues. I just recently had a specialist tell me that if my doctor (Agarwal) had handled a health issue of mine with more concern years ago, I could have avoided surgery.

She made assumptions about what I was saying, but failed to listen to what I was really trying to tell her. There are comments and diagnosis in my medical record from the past ten years I have been her patient that are incorrect at best. I have been through a lot with my physical health and mental health. I needed a doctor to listen to me and help me, not hand me a new prescription every other month. I have since stopped being her patient, and I am healthier finally!
