Dr. Anita Spiess, MD

My last appointment with Dr. Spiess was my final one. I was 10 min late in arriving, which I admitted and the late policy is 15 min. When Dr. Spiess entered the room she went off on a long rant with her voice raised, she was so enraged and very unprofessional. She talked down to me like I was a child. This was the first time I was alone with her, my husband always accompanied me before Covid-19. I don't know if she is prejudice towards black people or disabled people but she never treated me so horribly when my Caucasian husband was with me. I've never been treated so horribly and unprofessionally even with being late by other doctors. And she would not take responsibility or apologize. She also won't refer patients out to a GI specialist when needed, or admit when she doesn't know something. She'll just waste patients time and money and tell them to do a colonoscopy and say you have IBS.

I just had my colonoscopy yesterday and Dr. Spiess was very through, kind and professional. Everything went great
