Terrible communication and lack of responsibility
No communication whatsoever for an entire week while MIL in ICU. When finally able to track her down she minimized pt health problems and dismissed pt and family concerns as being caused by "anxiety", contradicting her own chart documentation. When a CT scan was requested, she refused to use any alternate means of testing when patient was unable to lie flat on her back (due to spinal infusions and implanted device). Was treating pt as if she was dying instead of trying to help her by giving unnecessary strong medication (sounds like "or seen") for anxiety...Why? Even other staff members were confused by the way the pt and family were being "treated" or her lack of treatment.
