Rude, shouldn't work in health.
The doctor was unprofessional, rude, and should not work in this field. I had already filled in my background history, including surgeries. She starts by immediately asking if I've had breast surgery (no scars, not in my history) and then said 'I mean your breast are just so different in size.' She provided no medical insight on this like 'it's a sign of cancer' or 'no worries lots of people do'- she just looks shocked. She then asks why I didn't do an MRI and I said bc it was recommended that I do an ultrasound, but I'd be open to it. And she responded that I was probably told to get an MRI. I said 'I'm just a patient trying to learn.' Then I try to give her another chance to be professional so ask again about the difference in breast size and she just says 'they are just so different' again no medical background. The real kicker is when I'm asking and trying to learn about the MRI, bc I had never heard of it- she says 'I mean whatever your body your choice' and ends the session.

No bedside manners
I don’t think she looked at me once. She just did the ultrasound and gave me the results and walked out. No bedside manners whatsoever. In these situations you expect someone to be warm and treat you like a person whether the results are positive or negative. That didn’t happen. She was cold and just went through the motions. She seemed to be in a hurry or not having a very good day at all. I mean she did her job but I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone. The rest of the staff was really nice, though.

Poor Bedside manner
After a mammogram she opens the door doesn’t step into the room, doesn’t ask if I have any questions, just briefly says you are free to go come back next year then disappears down the hallway. She should have come in the room, closed the door, explained my results, and asked if I had any questions.

RUDE
Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. I had never had such rude attention. As soon as I arrived she asked me why I was there making me feel uncomfortable for worrying about my health. She told me that I shouldn't be there and that I shouldn't go anymore, that I was very “young”. She was very rude and my exam lasted only 2 minutes, she made me feel very very VERY bad, especially because I have a long history of cancer in my family and it is a bit traumatic for me to go to the doctor for this reason. Zero human skills with patients. Please save yourself the hard time and don't take an exam with her!

Dr. Malik performed an ultrasound and biopsy for abnormal mammogram results. She answered my many questions. I found her to be efficient and pleasant. .

I saw Dr. Malik for a sonogram after something abnormal was found in my mammogram. She made me feel stupid for being there in the first place because she considered me too young for a mammograme (even though she admitted to me in the same sentence that breast cancer does occur in younger patients than the usual 40+ age group). She was abrupt, abrasive and rude, and distinctly made me feel as though I had wasted her time (even though it wasn’t me who decided this second appointment was necessary, but another trained doctor who deemed whatever they saw in my mammogram worthy enough to be looked at again). I am willing to give grace and say maybe she was just having a bad or difficult day, however the way she made me feel for being proactive in my health is unacceptable.

I visited Dr. Malik for an ultrasound for an abnormal lump in my breast. While I have read the other reviews criticizing her bedside manner, I found her to be confident and efficient. She doesn’t sugar coat things, but I also don’t want a doctor who does. I ultimately had a biopsy at her recommendation and it was virtually painless. She was able to get me on her schedule in less than 24 hours. She is a great doctor and I would highly recommend.

I saw Dr Malik for my biopsy after finding a mass in my breast. I was very a nervous about the whole thing - the procedure, the diagnosis, what it meant in terms of trying to conceive. Dr Malik went above and beyond in every which way. She added me on to an already full schedule. She took time to explain me everything in detail and I literally had no pain whatsoever I was shocked! I didn’t feel a thing ( and I am a baby when it comes to needles). She ensured all my questions were answered and told me what to expect moving forward. I would highly recommend her to anyone! She is very skilled and I can tell very passionate about what she does!

Dr. Malik was so condescending during my recent ultrasound appointment. I don't think I have ever met a doctor so rude. I am considering not using this practice at all after my experience. If you book at Washington Radiology, please avoid this doc.

I agree with other reviewers that Dr. Malik is hostile, condescending, and rude. She located a mass in my breast, but her attitude was so abrasive I had to locate another specialist to do the biopsy, which delayed the process by six weeks. She does not treat the patient as a person, but as a potential problem and is more concerned about herself than about the people she is responsible for "helping."

Goes above and beyond - she found my cancer and added my biopsy on same day! She called my doctor's office herself while her staff set up the biopsy.

Dr. Anjali Malik performed a guided needle biopsy on my right armpit. Previous imaging had shown that a mass on my axilla had normal morphology, however I have a genetic mutation that increases my risk of breast cancer to 50%. My breast oncologist, who is renowned in the field, examined me and nonetheless recommend a biopsy. I saw Dr. Malik and deeply regret this. She is abusive, rude, and clearly does not understand the weight of her job: TO SAVE LIVES. Don't go to her at your most vulnerable.
