Thorough and Professional
I recently moved to Brooklyn and wanted to transfer my ophthalmological care from where I had lived. My daughter-in-law recommended her ophthalmologist. I had my first visit and was pleased with the thoroughness and professionalism of the exam as well as the detail of her summary of findings. I have evidence of both glaucoma (under control) and cataracts (slowly progressing). I also have form of diabetes that can complicate vision. Consequently, I a very concerned that an exam be very thorough. It was. Fortuitously, Dr. Arthur was a student of my retinologist at Wills Eye, and when he learned that I had seen her, he remarked that it was an excellent decision. He thought she was an outstanding ophthalmologist.

I've been seeing Dr. Arthur since I was about 4 years old. After my initial doctor said the only course of treatment for me would be surgery and then disappeared when it came time to schedule and do preop I was referred to Dr. Arthur and she fixed everything. She started me on a different set of treatment to strengthen my eye before my corrective surgery and it was a success. Almost 2 decades later and I don't have any of those issues anymore. Now we recommend her to literally everyone. It's also a huge plus for me to be taken care of by someone who looks like me. There may be a little wait sometimes but she's beyond worth it. She's to the point but never rushes and I've always felt taken care of and well informed all the years I've been her patient. I'd absolutely recommend her.

Dr. Arthur has poor bedside manners. We went to her office twice. Once with myself and the second time with my husband. My daughter is afraid of having drops put into her eyes. Each time Dr. Arthur showed no patience with her. The second time she got so frustrated with my daughter she ordered her and my husband back to the waiting area. Those experiences were such a turn off that I will NEVER go back or recommend her office for services. She really needs to check her bad attitude and poor manners.

A perfect joke. The wait time is well over an hour and then you still don't get in. This is supposed to be an office for kids but nothing about it is inviting. They have a sad looking table with three small chairs and when we arrived people were practically piled on top of each other like the ER at 2am. Front desk gave mixed messages and then suggested WE go to a public clinic instead. I didn't say so but I wanted to tell her we were already at a public clinic masquerading as a reputable office.
