Dr. Ann Champoux, MD

Terrible experience. Dr. Champoux saw my daughter for a skin issue that should have been further assessed but instead promised my then kindergarten aged child that she could address this on the spot and proceeded to squeeze and pop what appeared to be a wart, but was not and instead caused unexpected & excess bleeding as well as trauma. My daughter cried and Dr. Champoux was dismissive and told her not to make a big deal and that it “doesn’t hurt that bad.” To this day, my daughter says she can’t fully trust adults because of this experience. Thankfully, that was the first and only time we encountered Dr. Champoux, as she was only standing in for our regular pediatrician, Dr. Risse, who is an absolute dream.

Amazing pediatrician! Dr. Champoux has been my kids' doctor since they were born, and she always has a very balanced, reassuring manner. I trust her judgement completely. She has helped us through everything from colds to hospitalizations, and my kids are healthier for it.

Dismissive. Condescending .

Brought my teen in after an impact to the head. Dr Champoux immediately said that she felt that the pendulum had swung too far in the conservative direction and too many people were worried about head injuries. This before even examining my teen-- or understanding that a teen likely to push the envelope, such as a football player, would use her words to resume activities that might not be healthy. Overall I felt dismissed and that questions were pooh-poohed, even after the exam.
