Dr. Anna Spivak, DO

Professional. And awsome

She previously sent an email out to other doctors who deal with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and stated she wanted to see patients with EDS. I waited 6 months to see her and drove over an hour. She had a whole team of people come in the room for the appointment and she kept asking me what SHE needed to do for ME and why I was there. I tried explaining my stomach issue history to only be cut off and told that she can't do anything for me - over and over. The whole appointment was maybe 10 minutes. Her nurse could've just called to tell me there WAS A MIX UP and I needed to see a different doctor. I was totally humiliated and told my issues would never go away. To top things off, she stressed the need for me to have a C-section. After reading actual peer reviewed medical journals and visiting a high risk doctor, I know that I do NOT need a C-section. In fact many people with type 3 EDS have babies very easily and quickly. It really showed how much this doctor knows about the disorder.

Very rude and overly confident brand new doctor who does not know anything about compassion, empathy and professionalism. Terrible bed side manners. Stock up with hyper-inflated sense of self importance. Horrible experience. Left me in tears.

I saw Dr. Spivak once for consultation. I was actually referred to a very different doctor with years of experience but turns out that she was no longer seeing patients with my type of issues. I was reluctant to see Dr. Spivak and I wish I followed my instincts. She is very rude, cold and unprofessional. She is a brand new graduate with unimpressive credentials and no experience or knowledge. She has unbelievably hyper inflated sense of self importance which is bizarre because she has not been in the field enough to be so confident in herself - instead, she should be more understanding and empathetic, but alas. I recommend finding someone else because seeing her is an irritation and a waste of time.

Dr. Spivak is the first doctor I had to FINALLY listen to me after many many others. She cared enough to fully listen and help me. I feel like I am living my life again because of her! Thank you Dr. Spivak!
