Dr. Voltura is with Nexus and cannot get in touch
Nexus is impossible to call - Dr. Voltura is great doctor and she has joined Nexus and there is no way to make an appointment or call them. It is just horrible.

I Think She's Excellent
It is exactly 2 weeks since Dr. Voltura did my lumpectomy. Everything she told me to expect was accurate, and I'm now feeling good, exercising, with the scar is healing as anticipated (pretty good looking for 2 weeks!) She explains everything well, did a great job with the surgery (clear margins), and compassionately listens to all concerns. I would highly recommend her to anyone with breast cancer.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was in shock and devastated. I was referred to Dr Voltura by both my PCP and gyn. She spent a lot of time with me and my husband, explaining my options and answering all our questions. I had a nipple sparing mastectomy with intra-operative Implant placement. I did well and am pleased with the results. After the surgery, I had a melt down about the pathology report. She called me on a weekend and spoke with me at length to correct my misperceptions and reassure me. Every day when I look in the mirror, I am so grateful to Dr Voltura for her skill as a surgeon and her compassion as a physician.

Dr. Voltura is a fantastic doctor and an exceptional person. I had a double mastectomy (her part of the surgery) and then the breast reconstruction was done by a plastic surgeon. The plastic surgeon totally botched the surgery – he inserted wrong sized, enormous implants that would never work for my active athletic lifestyle. I had no confidence in his ability to correct the problem. Dr. Voltura took over the case, scheduled the corrective surgery quickly and I am now well on my way to recovery. I would trust her with anything. Thank you doctor!

I have never known a person this rude - she operated on me for breast cancer and closed me up before realizing I was bleeding. Had to have another surgery to stop the bleeding the following day. I cried when I found out what was going on and she told me to be quiet and stop crying all the time. Compassion?? Disregard the one star - its the lowest level you can give.

Dr. Voltura is a brilliant surgeon and wonderful doctor. Her patience and kindness were outstanding, as were her nurses, who made the Santa Fe Cancer Center first rate. So it is a terrible loss that Dr. Voltura is no longer with Christus St. Vincent’s. Ignore my star ratings as it reflects an obsolete situation.

She is as toxic as her need to operate. She is too quick to operate. Always get a second opinion because this drive thru operation center is not good for anyone. She is as bad for women as she is for the hospital. Her God complex, arrogance, and need to compete in her field fuels her hunger to cut. Beware, beware, beware! I was het patient 2 years ago and went back again to find the same person i didnt like. I dont understand the high ratings because shes an awful doctor and person.

She was unprofessional and got upset because she didnt know how to use the computer. Her office manager didnt know how to use it either. They spent more time trying to figure out the system than what was wrong with me. Dr. Voltura had a meltdown down the hallway. I could hear her yelling at the nurse who was trying to calm her down. It was quite a show. They offered to reschedule me but I told them no thanks. I'll stick with anyone than this chaos.

Dr Voltura was a blessing in my life during a very difficult time. I am in Miami and if I ever needed a surgical oncologist again, I would travel to NM and put myself in her hands. She was such a caring human being and doctor. Provided me with all the information and options so tha I could make my decision. I hope that one day our paths ctoss again, but for healthy reasons. :)

I worked in the office briefly like most of Dr. Florida's staff. During that time, I needed help. Suddenly I was the patient. As a patient, I was treated poorly. Dr. Voltura is not a good human being. She has no compassion and puts on a good act. As a patient, she should have been able to put on the good doctor act. She belongs with St. Victims. Voltura is vindictive and I will never recommend her or the hospital to anyone. The front office staff is always miserable.

She doesn't have patients with the elderly. Gets irritated when she had to repeat herself to my mom who has dementia. We had no choice but to get treatment from her. There is no other choice! Presbyterian can't open soon enough.

The "vulture" is what Dr. Voltura is known as. She used to be good. Now she is rushing through appointments and selective about seeing patients. Her staff would not get me in sooner than the date I requested because the office could not charge me for it. I almost went through two procedures and radiation because the vulture didn't communicate with my oncologist. She's worthless and hates her job. Go anywhere else but St. Victims.

I was there for a consult. She diagnosed me with breast cancer. She began talking about treatment options. My jaws dropped. When she realized I was in shock, she left the room and returned 10 minutes later to tell me she was wrong. She comes highly recommended but I don't see how. She is in a hurry and has terrible bedside manner. Before I left I stopped by the back. She was yelling at her staff for the mistake. She saw me and tried to smile. Jeckyl and Hyde! I will not return.

While out of state and with my regular surgeon out of country, I needed a surgeon to look at an issue along the cut line of the surgery I had two months ago. The nature of the problem requires a full analysis of the history, possible adverse reactions to common materials, etc. Dr. Voltura refused to see me b/c she only sees people who want to have surgery with her. Is she a medical doctor or a heartless business woman?? Has she taken the Hippocrates' oath?
