she is concerned about my health and well being and well being when I'm NOT ON TRACK SHE WILL LET YOU KNOW. RULES WITH A STERN HAND BUT GENTLE AND FIRM.

She is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I had serious health concerns, that other Doctors after her properly diagnosed and treated me for. She refused to order necessary tests and stated it 'would cost insurance too much'. When I switched doctors, this was no longer an issue at all and my new doctors ordered and ran the proper tests without any fighting. She literally yelled at me and said that I made her uncomfortable. She made an already stressful and scary period in my life straight up traumatic. She's happy and chipper if you're healthy but if you have any scary health concerns, she is not who you want as your doctor.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was inquiring about a weight loss drug bc I’ve tried plenty diets like anyone else and was unsuccessful. This woman who I’m shocked is a licensed doctor told me that She yes SHE currently pays my medical insurance bc I’m on on Medicare for a disability. She then went on to tell me that weight loss drugs are readily available on the STREET. Her words exactly (PEOPLE ARE MAKING THESE DRUGS IN THE BATHTUB) . Not only was she extremely rude and unprofessional she told me to get the drug off the street UNBELIEVABLE! I left the office ten minutes ago I’ve already removed this poor excuse of a medical professional off my insurance as my primary, I’m filing a complaint! Just hung up from getting the form mailed to me . I refuse to let her get away with her actions. Lastly, the only time she explained she would like me to follow steps b4 getting the medication was when she clearly saw that I was offended and upset. I’m in total disbelief and I want all her patients or future patients to see the type of doctor this woman is. I’m not letting this go ma’am!

I have always found Dr. Tenthoff to be professional, kind and caring. She answers questions I send on the patient portal very quickly. I recommend her highly.

My heart is broken! I have been a patient of Dr. Tenthoff’s for about 6 years. I went for my appointment today to further get her help with my bulimia and get a blood panel done and referral to the gastrointestinal unit. After discussing these things, Dr. Tenthoff started the prescription and then asked me if I was COVID vaccinated. I said I was not. She asked me why. I said I didn’t want to be. She then said “That’s not what I asked you… I asked you why?” very heatedly. I proceeded to explain my thoughts, then followed up with, “ you feel very strongly about this, I feel very strongly about this, I don’t want to discuss this anymore.” Dr. Tenthoff then stood up in front of me (I was sitting on the examining table), very hostilely and very aggressively and told me that this is her job, she is a medical professional and has been researching this for 20 years, and if I ever wanted any answers to my questions, she would give them to me. I was concerned she was going to hit me. I told her

If you're having any kind of complicated or scary health related issue, I would definitely not recommend Dr. Tenthoff. She does not seem to be very knowledgeable of what diagnostic tests or steps should be ran. She also lacks self-awareness when she is out of her depth and fails to refer patients to a specialist when necessary. She is very slow at ordering necessary tests such as blood work to help with diagnoses. She also did not listen to my symptoms and often recorded them incorrectly in their patient portal. I feel like I had a more thorough exam at my chiropractor than I did at Dr. Tenthoff's office. She may be fine if you're in perfect health or only have minor health concerns, but I would steer clear otherwise.

As has been previously stated, Dr Tenthoff is exceptional. A great doctor! BUT the ability to get through to the office causes high blood pressure. You are left on hold for unreasonable periods of time and then only able to leave a message. I am leaving this hoping to encourage the practice to find a more patient friendly way of having appointments made. PLEASE

Dr. Tenthoff is an amazing doctor, but scheduling an appointment with her over the phone is near impossible. Hour plus hold times to get to the front of the line, then only a voicemail box. I hesitate to leave this review because she's been such a great doctor to me for years now, but this has been an ongoing issue ever since she moved offices and there's no sign of improvement.

Dr Tenthoff is a life saver! I’ve been her patient for 10 years and I trust her with my families health. Down to earth, no bullcrap no pressures. She listens and respects me. Even when I play google doctor. :)

While the doctor is great, the receptionist that answered on 12/09/2020 around 9:30am was very rude. This is not the first or second time this happened. I am unlucky enough that she answers whenever I call the office. No matter when you call she has zero tact and communication skills. She is so unpleasant that I am considering changing doctors. My family goes to this practice and when I mentioned a horrible receptionist, they all have the same experience.

Very professional, knowledgeable and personable. Knows how to relate to patients, make comfortable.

Dr. Tenthoff has been my doctor for about 3 years, and she is the absolute best doctor. She is truly an advocate for her patients, and is extremely down to earth and easy to talk to. She is also extremely thorough and hard working. My husband also goes there, and when he came home from a trip to Peru, he had the strangest illness that was quite severe. Dr. Tenthoff went above and beyond to have him pinpoint where he went in Peru, and tested him for everything. I'm confident that most doctors wouldn't have diagnosed and treated him correctly. I cannot say how lucky we are to have her as our primary care physician.

Received really poor care. Was sent for STAT bloodwork on Thursday at 7am (meaning results available in 1 hour). Friday morning called because I still hadn't heard anything. Was told she didn't read them yet. Called back hours later and heard the same thing. Called a third time at closing, and was told she still didn't read it but would call me before leaving. Asked if I could speak to a nurse; told no. Asked if I could hold until someone is available; told no. Hours later no call and it's the weekend so I'll go at least 2 more days with no results. What kind of Dr. Doesn't read results they themselves mark STAT?

Excellent doctor. Spends time with you and listens to your needs. Gets back to you ASAP when needed.

Dr. Tenthoff is very caring and thorough. She takes the time to talk to you and asks about the family. You can get an appointment easily and she returns calls quickly. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor in the Abington arean.

The doctor isn't the problem.... the receptionists should be the ones should get the review. Last time I tried to see the doctor or even just get a prescription over the phone, the receptionist told me I can't see the doctor for the issue. The second time, I finally got through, the receptionist immediately interrupted me while I was talking and telling me I couldn't see the doctor again! The receptionists get a rating of 0.
