Dr. Annmarie Vilkins, DO

I was seen for an emergency surgery and Dr. Vilkins explained everything to me and my family. She took her time and helped me afterwards with a follow up appointment and with patient care. She is opening her own OBGYN practice and I would recommend her to anyone who wants the best.

Dr. Vilkins is the best provider I have been to. She listens and is very caring, knowledgeable and patient focused. If she were a general practitioner she'd be my first choice for a PCP.

Dr Vilkin takes all the time you need to go over your needed problems and the options that are available for a needed surgery.I was a problem patient with scar tissue due to my appendix rupturing years ago. A doctor from Beaumont Hospital wanted to open my abdomen and stated my surgery couldn't be done laparoscopically.Dr Vilkins had no problem with doing my surgery laparoscopically. She made 4 openings and after 6 weeks you can barely see the scars and I'm feeling great. On the day of my surgery when I arrived at the hospital everyone was very friendly and professional. My son was kept updated all throughout my surgery and informed of the outcome by Dr Vilkins.Dr Vilkins is an excellent doctor, and I would recommend her to everyone.

Doctor recommended. She studied my history and reason for visit. Told me options to correct issue.

Relaxed informative and caring

I have never seen this dr. before but she was on the point, she knew her job.

My normal gyno referred me to her. Dr. Vilkins is the only medical provider that has shown a complex understanding of some the issues I am dealing with, and she lets me know what the "plan" is for treatment long term down the road, which eases my anxiety significantly. I am so thankful.

Provider experience was excellent. Dr Vilkins is personable, knowledgeable, interested in patient. For some reason it is nit possible to schedule visits with her on My Chart, so needed to make multiple attempts to get an appt

Dr. Vilkins is caring and kind. It's clear she takes her responsibility to patients and their families very seriously, and works hard to provide excellent care to every patient who crosses her path.

After having my first experience with meeting Dr. Vilkins today, I'm left bewildered and unimpressed. I felt that she rushed through our appt. and did not take the time to get to know me. Perhaps the BMC women's health clinic was full today and she had a lot on her plate but I'm almost tempted to work with an ob/gyn at MGH, where I actually work. All it takes is one appt where patient's decide on the relationship and I would hope given her rush that she had my best interest in mind.
