Rude. No bedside manner. Didn’t study my previous blood tests.

I normally do not leave reviews, but feel this warranted it. I was trying to find a new PCP and he was one of the first I could get into. Obviously this should've been a clue. Totally dismissed the concerns I had, and came off as smug and arrogant. It was as if he thought I was making up the pain I was having. I left more upset than when I came in, with nothing to show for the pain I am having. Would not recommend.

I read these bad reviews and feel people are judging Dr ciampa as arogant from one ten minute meeting. I can see where they may get that impression, but it is not true. Dr ciampa speaks in a matter of fact manner, but is kind, (even personally called to check up on me once), very knowledgeable, and not one of those doctors that prescribes pills too quickly. (Turned me down for antibiotics twice) if you want a knowledgeable, kind doctor, who is open to alternative medicine (chiropractic and nutritional) and don't take offense to someone taking in a matter of fact way, then there is no better doctor in Pittsburgh. (He's a retired military doctor also)

Dr. Ciampa carefully listened to me, examined me, and diagnosed. He explained everything thoroughly and told me when he expected me to feel better. I went to him two years ago. Two other family members have gone to him, as well. He is “a keeper”! Office staff was great, too.

I went to see Dr. Ciampa as a possible new PCP. This man spoke down to me..He was arrogant...and couldn't get out of the room fast enough. I went for a simple sinus infection. He prescribed two antibiotics that had severe side effects. Even though I asked for a simple z pack. He cares only for personal preferences not the patients care!!!

I went to Dr. Ciampa a year ago & after experiencing his condescending attitude swore to never go back.Today I had last-minute appt b/c of bad chest &arm pains, dizzy & elevated pulse rate for 2 days. I didn't realize what doc I was scheduled with... I would've received better care from a stranger on the street. Dr C listened w/stethoscope & said it couldn't be heart-related or I'd be dead. Said he'd give me exercises-probly was muscle related. Said I was checking too much & dismissed.Terrible

EXTREMELY IGNORANT , shuts you down and tells you that you are wrong and it can't possibly be what you think is wrong with you... well guess what a few years ago I kept going to the office complaining about sinus pain, he told me number of times that no one could get sinuses infections this frequent and I just have a cold. I had him order a sinus scan for me and guess what... I had chronic sinusitis, which caused me to have surgery!!!

I am generous to give him a one star, he doesn't listen to the patient, he says he is doing further test and doesn't do them. He was the most condescending arrogant doctor I ever had the unpleasant circumstance of meeting. I did report him to the Allegheny Health network line.

He takes time to listen and treat what is along you. I have multiple medical problems. Diabetes thyroid COPD Asthma High Cholesterol. Just to name a few. I have trouble with many meds to treat. His staff and the Doc have worked with me to come up with best treatment I can tolerate.

My wife and I still go to the group, but refuse to see Dr. Ciampa. He has insulted both of us on sperate occasions. He needs to check his condescending attitude at the door. They must teach a lot at medical school, but they obviously do not teach how to suppress one's ego in situations where it doesn't belong. Bedside manner must have been purchased from gumball machine. He treats diseases and conditions, rather than the patient.

Great doctor. I've been seeing him since I moved to the area 7 years ago. Has never steered me wrong. My wife & I asked many doctors about health related factors my son was experiencing. Dr. Ciampa said the same thing as the other local doctors, but his responses were easy to understand and spoken in a clear, logical manner. He treats you like a person. I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Ciampa. Will continue to see him as long as we live in USC.

A completely disengaged physician. I go to him precisely because I don't like doctors so I know he is not going to ask me many questions or think anything is worth examining. My other doctor was not pleased with Dr. Ciampa's response to a hormonal inbalance! So, if you want a doctor who will be disengaged and not order any testing, and not take time to find out if anything is wrong, go to this guy.

He prescribed me muscle relaxers, but refused to fill out paperwork to be off work. I can't take the pills and do my job. It's not like I have a history of taking pills, I just pulled my back out, last year that happened was 9 years ago and all I took then was advised and didn't miss a day of work even though I was in physical therapy therapy three times a week. I asked if I could drive on these pills, he said no, but if I got a ride to the doctor, I can get a ride to work. What a jerk.

Told me my cholesterol levels were fine and recommended i did not need to take medication to control anymore. Shame on me for listening to him on this as i stopped taking medication and after moving to new area mentioned to new doctor that this Dr recommended that i did not need to take anymore. After Lab work it was determined that my Cholesterol levels were high so here i am back on medication to control. Perhaps Mr Ciampa should think about what he says before making recommendations.

Very unprofessional, completly missed presence of cancer-ordered no testing. MD was very rushed during visit, stated that lump I had was not there when it very clearly was. I was diagnosed with cancer late due to this poor treatment and I had to undergo multiple surgeries and chemotherapy. This man is a terrible physician and he should be allowed to practice medicine.
