Dr. Maffei gets my highest possible recommendation and exceeded all possible expectations. He worked miracles on my complex and massive left side sliding inguinal hernia coupled with another large right side inguinal hernia in one laproscopic procedure. Dr. Maffei crafted a brilliant surgical approach to my less than straightforward situation. Other surgeons had turned me away, while Dr. Maffei was confident and motivated to help me. Dr. Maffei is a highly skilled Surgeon with a pleasant and compassionate demeanor. Dr. Maffei's care and skill as a surgeon has been life changing for me, as my everyday life was becoming so negatively impacted by my increasingly debilitating condition. Dr. Maffei has turned the clock back 20 years for me. I can't thank him enough for his masterful surgical skills and next level care.

I would highly recommend Dr. Maffei to any patient out there who is interested in having SmartLipo. Besides having impeccable surgical skills, his bedside manner is fantastic. Dr. Maffei performed SmartLipo on my abdomen -during the procedure you stay awake (which I was nervous about), but from start to finish he talked me through it, making jokes and putting me at ease- the procedure didn't hurt one bit. During my recovery he reached out to me everyday to check on how I was doing. I've had procedures done at other offices where the nurse will call to followup - but never the doctor. I really felt well taken care of and I appreciate a surgeon going above and beyond to do right by their patients . He is thorough, kind, talented and especially passionate about his work. His office staff is courteous, meticulous, and responsive. They eased me through the six month insurance clearance for my surgery, and I experienced no bumps or delays. After 2 and a half months of pain, sometimes severe, I decided my wife was right and it was time to see a doctor. Of course it was days before Christmas and the timing couldn't be worse. My wife being in the medical field knew I needed surgery. I was soon diagnosed, after a cat scan with an inguinal hernia. Dr. Anthony Maffei came highly recommended by several doctors my wife spoke with. Dr. Maffei laparoscopically repaired my hernia and the pain is gone! Back to work in 3 days. Amazing job!

Other surgeons had turned me away for a revision to a 1994 surgery. Dr M was receptive to me although he made me aware the risks were higher with this type of surgery. Once Dr M knew that I accepted the risks and was working hard to get into better health he was all in. The surgery was difficult due to scar tissue and the previous surgery. Dr M did a wonderful job. I had laparoscopic Lap Band removal and conversion to the gastric sleeve on June 29th 2017 with Dr. Maffei. He was amazing from our first meeting all the way through to the after care visit. I am extremely impressed with his skills and bed side manner. He took the time to explain everything in detail and make sure I was given all the information needed. The surgery itself was smooth. I was in need of a very difficult surgery for my husband, but friends and physicians had advised me to go to the city of New York, because there I will find the best surgeons. I have my own concerns, however. So, I had decided to go to Westchester County Medical Center, where I found Doctor Anthony Maffei.
