Avoid Dr. Gloom and Doom. My dad was going in for a 5 minute procedure and Dr. Doom (Dr. Maratea) spent 25 minutes explaining 10 different ways my dad would die on the table . I'm an informed consumer and the doc. made me feel like I was signing my dad's death warrant. My dad survived the procedure with no issues but for a man who did nothing in the operating theater (local anesthesia procedure) Dr. Gloom took sadistic pleasure during informed consent.
