Labelled me a drug addict and refused to treat.
It seems the doctor had already decided that I was drug seeking before I ever made it into a room. I presented with jaw pain, trouble swallowing and significant pain. Signs the urgent care had said is an emergency in the tooth abscess they were treating. I already have heart failure so this is a serious issue if the infection was spreading.Note I never asked her for pain medication in our encounter. She told me we could both get in trouble if she gave me a narcotic for 'this'. She examined my mouth and told me not to bite her. Left the room without answering any questions. Utterly cold and unwilling to give me actual treatment for something that could be deadly for me. She mis-diagnosed me with an ear infection and vanishedMind you this is all while I am sobbing in pain..after sitting in the waiting room for 5 hours. Thank goodness the nurse was willing to answer my questions.Entirely neglectful and highly inappropriate behavior from someone who is a professional in the field.

Negligent!
I went in for a seizure 2 months ago. Dr. Antonia Schmitt-Rheinbay ordered no tests, failed to contact neurology, and added no medication. She also put in my clinical notes that she wasn't even sure that I truly had a seizure. As a result I continued to have seizures for 2 months increasing in frequency. I was finally tested and placed on medication in December. It was later proven by my outpatient neurologist that I have epilepsy based on my tests. In my opinion, she was being bias against me for my mental health history. I don't know how she even got a medical license. She should have kept her old title as a 'dog washer'.

Dr. Schmitt-Rheinbay is an awesome HH ER Physician
Dr. Schmitt-Rheinbay sutured my forehead up after I shot my 12 gauge shotgun and the Nikon site struck me in the forehead between my eyes on 6 Aug 2022. I bleed profusely. Dr. Schmitt-Rheinbay was so very gentle and she saw me very quickly. I was very pleased with everyone in the Huntsville Hospital (Main) Emergency Room. My best experience to date with any ER visit. Dr. Schmitt-Rheinbay is also the most beautiful ER Physician I have ever seen. Thank you very much Dr. Schmitt-Rheinbay.
