Excellent physician .
I was taken to Advent Bert Fish after a hard fall. Dr. Denard did a bipolar hip replacement. The surgery went fine. He was professional and respectful. Very attentive. Office visits after release from the hospital were helpful and cordial. He recommended PT which I did. My last visit was great and I was released from care. Dr. Denard was caring and I would recommend him.

Dr Denard replaced my husband’s hips because he had Avascular Necrosis. He did a great job. He is a very caring person. He spent a good amount of time explaining everything to us.

Dr. Denard did not perform a satisfactory leg and hip surgery, resulting in additional medical problems, insufficient communication caused delayed responses to critical care and longer term stays. More importantly, the patient was left with a fairly shortened leg as a result of inaccuracy in measurement, which was never even measured until rehab. In my opinion, Dr. DEnard needs to learn to be more aware of his accuracy and the patient, not just a surgery finished up.

Dr. Denard blatantly lied to me about my condition to get the result that was most attractive to him. Because of my unease with Dr. Denard I wanted to get a second opinion. The second doctor confirmed that virtually everything that Dr. Denard was a lie. Dr. Denard told me that the ONLY treatment for my condition was a Reverse Shoulder Replacement. That surgery is only indicated when the rotator cuff is completely detached. My MRI report says that my rotator cuff is still 90% attached. My new doctor believes that Arthroscopic surgery to remove some bone fragments will relieve my occasional discomfort. Dr. Denard clearly wanted to do the joint replacement when my best interest was a less invasive course of action!

broke and dislocated my ankle and got stuck with Dr Denard doing the surgery. At my first post op visit thety put me in a hard cast . Two weeks later went back and they took the cast off , told me I could fully walk. This was a whopping 4 weeks after the surgery. No PT, not exercises, no nothing. About this time I tried to tell him I was hving a lot of pain in my good leg especially in my knee. He brushed me off saying it was overcompensation. Two week later, takes me out of the boot and releases me. With NO instructions, no exercises, and still brushing off my knee pain. Two weeks later I am concerned because my ankle is still hurting, and my knee is KILLING me. I make and appt. When I get there, they tell me it is post traumatic arthritis and it will go away, and I could google for exercise for my ankle. I'm two years later and still limping every day. I've been told I should have been in a cast for at least 6 wks and then had PT. I feel like he ruined my life!

Does not communicate clearly what he is going to do. Does not even come out after surgery and let you know how it went and what he saw and actually did, or didn't do, to complete the surgery.
