I absolutely cannot believe how terrible this office is at getting back to me when I need them most. I left over 5 messages throughout the week, including with the nurse, during business hours because the medication I was prescribed wasn’t working for my IBS, and I was going through hell with symptoms. The Dr never called me back, or anything. I was prescribed a medication that wasn’t even covered by my insurance, and even after the prior auth didn’t work, he didn’t bother to change it to something that was covered and i paid out of pocket for a med that did nothing. After calling several times that it wasn’t working, and I looked 8 months pregnant, and in pain, there was no return-response. This is completely ridiculous, and I’m a new patient. thanks, but no thanks. I will not be going back.

He is excellent doctor providing extreme care, attention to detail and takes good care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Atia's for several years now. The care that he has provided to me has been excellent. Plus his office staff is the very best that I have ever experienced in all my years since receiving health care. My medical issues began for me while I was in my 20s. I am now in my 70s. I have been to many doctors (primarily for intestinal issues) during my adult years. I honestly feel the medical staff of the Barrington office is the very best for me!

Still Antwan Atia is the single nicest and most personable doctor I’ve ever had. I had been having terrible heartburn and other GI symptoms for years. No other doctor was able to figure it out. After asking around, I found Dr Atia. He was relentless. He sent me for all the right tests. I wanted to give up but he never did. Finally he figured it out, and I’m on the right medicine for the rest of my life, but I’m so very gr.eatful to him. I feel much better.

Excellent doctor and staff. Totally on top of their game. Caring, professional, very knowledgeable and organized. Was reffered by a friend that suffered with Crohns for years. With Dr.Atia's care he is enjoying life and is in the best shape ever!

I visited this practice previously and it was fine....however, I called there two weeks ago to make an appointment. Left a message and did not get a call back. Called the next day and again my call was never returned. Guess they don't care.....or have a lousy receptionist. They really need to figure out what's going on.

I have been seeing Dr. Atia for the past year in a half and he has really been thorough in terms of my course of treatment in order to determine a plausible treatment plan for me to help relieve issues with GERD and IBS. He takes the time to thoroughly explain things to each patient which is very rare these days with some of our doctors. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a GI.

Such wonderful and caring Doctor! Truly knows his medicine helped me feel 90%better in just 2 weeks. He is the one to go to. Dr. Antwan Atia is the best.

This office sent me a bill one year after service. They said they were looking into what happened and then sent me another bill 2 years later. Even though the billing office admitted they were at fault and did not keep me updated on the account the Doctor still wants payment over $400. The office never returned my phone calls or emails and the Doctor apparently cares more about his $400 than his reputation or patient relationships.
