Dr. Anugeet Kaur, MD

I went to FMH Emergency and was admitted for pancreatitis. On the first day, I was on painkillers and an IV. Dr. Kaur saw me the next afternoon and immediately started questioning me about being an alcoholic, disregarding any concerns I raised and speaking in a condescending tone. She often laughed arrogantly at my attempts to clarify or question her. As my condition improved, I asked if I could be discharged that evening, explaining I had tolerated a liquid breakfast and hoped to switch to solid food. I noted my recovery to show I didn’t need to stay another night, given the expense. She dismissively said, 'That's not my concern. You can leave anytime you like.' When I pointed out insurance wouldn’t cover my stay if I left without discharge, she said it wasn’t her responsibility and reiterated I was free to go. Later, when I shared my frustration with the nurse, I found out Dr. Kaur was unpopular with staff as well. I'm just relieved I never have to deal with her again.

Dr Kaur saved my life! She was able to arrange Emergency surgery at John’s Hopkins. I could not recommend a better doctor. She cares about her patients! She treats you with kindness, empathy and a true desire for your well being!
