Dr. Anuj Chopra, MD

My experience with Dr. Chopra was terrible. He performed a penile prosthesis implant which was improperly situated and did not work, causing me much pain and discomfort. He then offered to perform corrective surgery. He repositioned a portion of it, resulting in not only the same pain but new pain in a different area and it still didn't work. He then agreed to my demand to remove it, but ended up passing the surgery over to another doctor...who wanted to wait a ridiculously long time period to remove it. I found a much better Urologist by switching to Geisinger, a Urologist who agreed that the prosthesis was improperly situated and was almost protruding through my skin. He agreed to immediately remove it and did so, resulting in my being immediately pain-free. I wouldn't let Chopra operate on my dog if it was dying, much less another human patient. One has to wonder why Chopra has relocated from so many different medical practice sites, offices and/or hospitals over the years...

After being diagnose with possible renal cell carcinoma and seeing 4 different specialist from all over the area ( , Philly , geisinger , Evan & Johnstown) Dr Chopra was the only specialist suggest surgery and was aggressive enough to tell myself & family members that whether it is or isn’t there’s something there “ that isn’t suppose to be & I’ll do what ever you decide to make you at ease & comfortable !! My husband and I saw him on two different occasions asking all our questions and him answering every concern !! With that being said we knew we found the right specialist for my procedure we decided-to have my surgery July 17 , 2019 .He removed the mass which thank the lord He did because it was cancer ... My recovery was tough but I thank him every day & his kind staff because he was remarkable &110% all about his patients ... I’m still recovering slowly getting back to my old self but that’s all because I went to the best and Dr chopra thank you & your incredible staff...

Very nice Dr and staff. Very happy with my husband's care. Only negative - the horrible country music in waiting room.

Very excellent Doctor / Surgeon. The best around Central PA. He really cares for his patients, takes the time to explain everything. Some times there is delays, however, that is usually due to an emergency surgery, and we are offered to stay, go run errands, or reschedule. Always informed of any delays. Overall he is a wonderful Doctor, and his staff has always been nice.
