The entire team led by Dr. Kamat was very emphatic and treated me as a human being first rather than just a patient.

The doctor was prompt and friendly. Took the time to explain the options to me. She is not rushed to act but instead takes a mindful approach. Wonderful human being.

aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata Zero rating!!! I wish that I could give these 3 doctors (aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata) a zero rating. After my surgery while battling cancer I sought care from aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata. I will not go into all of the details of the dreadful experience that doctors "mohamed shehata" (he overdosed me on Vancomycin and shut down my kidneys), aparna kamat (cold personality and emotionally unavailable. When I told her that I was too sick/too weak to continue Chemo and that I was uncomfortable with the male doctor she recommended, she told me to get over it and get on with the treatments that had been ordered. She told me that I was overreacting even though I had ended up in the hospital for 11 days and nearly died. I was in the hospital 8 or 9 days before she came to see me even though her office was called by my ER team from the emergency room that I had to go to on my way to Chemo), and dr andrew farach (referred by aparna kamat) who ordered 33 radiation treatments. From the beginning, he failed to fully inform me about the total number of treatments he had ordered even though both my spouse and I asked him continuously. He gave me internal radiation against my will by telling me that insurance would not pay for my previous treatments if I did not receive all of the treatments he ordered. He said that he believed another one of his patients experienced this when she refused his treatments. I believed him!!! My spouse after witnessing my sorrows and pain called to verified with Blue Cross that the statement was completely untrue!!! What these 3 doctors (aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata) put me through was horrifying!!! I would not want anyone to end up in their care. Even after narrowly escaping these 3 doctors (aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata), almost a year later I still break down in tears and cry for days over the long term residuals from their negligent lack of care. I am still broken; I am still experiencing physical issues and pain because of the internal radiation therapy that he forced on me. My experience with those 3 idoctors (aparna kamat, andrew farach and mohamad shehata) is the worst medical treatment I have ever encountered. I would not recommend them to anyone. My new oncologist, Dr. Anne Su, is the very best and I highly recommend her.

I went to Dr. Kamat on March 12, after being told by my regular gynecologist that he definitely saw cancer. One biopsy by her came back benign and the other extensive VIN III, which can indicate invasive cancer. SHE DIDN'T DO ANY STANDARD SCANS OR TESTING BEFORE SURGERY, WHICH WOULD HAVE VERIFIED METASTASIS. SHE DIDN'T OPERATE UNTIL 7/9, FOUR FULL MONTHS after I initially visited her. Per the surgical pathology I had multi focal invasive squamous cell carcinoma. Only then did she order a PET/CT scan which showed one lymph node suspicious of inflammmation, one node suspicious of cancer. I had to find an oncologist at Sugar Land Methodist to order the core biopsy of the pelvic node. Haven't seen Dr. Kamat since surgery on 7/9, and haven't heard from her for 2 weeks. That's why you ALWAYS do all scans BEFORE surgery - to biopsy regional lymph nodes and know whether to biopsy during surgery or at LEAST do a sentinel node biopsy. FIVE FULL MONTHS AND SHE STILL DOESN'T KNOW IF IT'S SPREAD!!!

Dr Kamat is a very skilled surgeon. I wish that I could give her more than 5 stars. I was referred to her so that she could remove my fibroids. Dr. Kamat removed 32 fibroids and was able to save my uterus. She and her team closely monitored and took great care of me. When I was discharged home, I never took any pain medicine at all because I didn’t need it, and I credit that to Dr. Kamat. My family couldn’t believe how independent I was so soon after having major surgery. I am very glad that I chose Dr. Kamat to be my surgeon.
