Dr. Arame Motazedi, MD

Very understanding and professional. Brutally honest and direct, exactly what I was looking for. I hate when doctors try to coddle you and do not give their actual medical opinion. She was exceptional all around. Smart and knowledgeable.

Dr Motazedi is the most caring and knowledgeable physician I’ve ever had! She takes the time to truly listen to my concerns and ensures every issue is addressed with expertise and compassion. Since being under her care, my health has significantly improved—my diabetes is well controlled, my lab results have improved, and I’ve even lost weight. I trust her completely and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a dedicated and skilled doctor.

She should not be in care of patients. Please listen to the other reviews. I believe them, from experience. Starts out great with the patient care relationship, until a real health problem arises. Extremely surface level medical care. One time she said I was “too happy” after in person visit. I was just having a good day. In another visit she wrote negative emotions describing me, when I was diagnosed with a serious medical condition and cried and was upset. She is Not a psychologist, but acts like one. She does not act or provide care the was she says in her videos on Scripps Coastal website. Be VERY careful what you say to her. She uses it against you. She’s a self righteous doctor. She ignores & dismisses vast majority of what you say. Clicks the next box and moves on. She’s great if you don’t have any real medical conditions. Do not recommend her if you need a doctor that listens to the whole person and whole care. Not relational to patient.

Dr. Motazedi should not be working as a pc. On multiple occasions she was dismissive of me and did not take my concerns seriously. She was my primary care for around 6 months and during that time I had one in person visit and 2-3 telehealth visits. I had scheduled a visit with her because what had started as a common cold had turned into something much worse and she told me to go buy something over the counter and told me I was fine when I told her my vision had started to blur, I ended up going against her advice and going to the er where they found I had a severe sinus infection which she had told me was no big deal. She completely ignored any other concerns I had regarding my health, despite my sudden and obvious decline, and I eventually moved on to another primary care who took me seriously and was able to diagnose my hormones disorder. If you want to be taken seriously do not go to Dr. Motazedi.

This doctor, on my initial 5 min. visit, put in my medical record that I was a ' chronic and continuos opiod abuser' !!
