My husband had a large goiter removed that was growing into his chest cavity. I couldn't have been more pleased with such a skilled, knowledgeable surgeon such as Dr. Mohebati. He knows his stuff and is very detail oriented, which is exactly what you want when someone's working with sharp objects in your neck! He successfully removed the large thyroid while protecting my husband's vocal cords and other vital structures. We couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he received by Dr. Mohebati and the entire staff at John Muir Health. I had a hemithyroidectomy. The surgery was easy and I recovered quickly. Dr. Mohebati explain all the issues before and after surgery. I did not lose nerve control of my voice or face. Overall, he is an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Mohebati removed an adenoma (hypercellular tissue) from my left upper parathyroid gland, as well as, two pieces of excess thyroid tissue from the right side of my thyroid at John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek on 10/13/2021 . This surgery was performed perfectly with a quickly healing and insignificant incision scar at the base of the front of my neck. My calcium immediately returned to normal. So, I would highly recommend Dr. Mohebati because his surgical performance was excellent, as was ALL the care I received at John Muir Hospital during my overnight stay, following my surgery. I had Thyroid surgery last November to remove the whole thyroid due to cancer. Dr Mohebati was very thorough with explaining the procedure and possible Complications. Surgery went well and I’m recovering as expected. I had a Follow up appt 2 weeks after surgery to check the healing process and again in May -6 months after surgery. I highly recommend dr Mohebati for any thyroid issues or surgery.

I had parathyroid surgery and staff in his office were friendly and Dr Mohebati went over everything with me so I knew what to expect. John Muir Surgery was great, friendly and professional and made me feel really comfortable in pre op. Surgery went well, not much pain afterward. Recovery was smooth, great staff.

I am fortunate enough to have been referred to Dr. Mohebati for surgery. During our pre-op meeting, Dr. Mohebati was patient, answered all questions, explained the procedure completely, and was reassuring. The surgery went very well. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Wayne Lee, was responsive to my concerns as were the pre-op nurses. After surgery, I had absolutely no pain. Additionally, I did not suffer from nausea - a past problem caused by anesthesia. Post-operatively, the nursing staff was excellent, and Dr. Mohebati was able to assure me that all went well. My final office meeting was exactly what I needed as well. I cannot thank Dr. Mohebati enough for his excellent work, care, and interest. I am fortunate that he was my surgeon.

Dr. Mohebati is the best. No pain after surgery. I'm fully recovered after 10 days. Up and about immediately. Dr. Mohebati is a really nice person. Awesome!!

Dr. Mohebati treated me for a parathyroid adenoma. Before the surgery he listened carefully to my questions, and his answers were thorough and reassuring. His extensive background and successful experience added to my comfort level. The procedure went very smoothly and I felt almost no pain afterwards from the smooth incision. Now, several weeks out, the scar is barely distinguishable. I would highly recommend Dr. Mohebati.

My dad was diagnosed with thyroid cancer with lymph node involvement. Dr. Mohebati performed the lengthy surgery, carefully removing the cancer and meticulously inspecting and removing possible lymph nodes that could be involved. Dr Mohebati explained the disease process and possible complications, as well as what to expect after surgery. He took his time in answering all our questions. He made us feel like we were his only patients for the day. Post op, he checked on my dad even on the weekend, on his day off, making sure my dad was doing ok, since it was a 6.5 hr surgery. 2 weeks post-op, my dad is healing well. he has a barely noticeable scar on his neck. As a nurse with almost 25 yrs of experience, I know an excellent surgeon when I see one. My family can see and feel his dedication to his craft.
