Dr. Archina Srivastava ignored me telling her that i do not tolerate the intravenous / nuclear medicine stress test. When I told her I don’t tolerate the medicine her exact words were “it’ll be done with medicine and not on the machine” I just shook my head and said she’s not listening clearly to what I’m saying. Honestly she should have heard me out and asked what complications the nuclear medicine cause. I’ve had 2 bad experiences from nuclear medicine stress tests, I’ve landed me a stay in the hospital and another that has to be stopped abruptly because my blood pressure rose above 200 and caused chest pains and cardiac arrest alerts were issue throughout the hospital. It turns out I’m allergic to the medication in some of the nuclear stress tests and some of them I’m not allergic to. I canceled the appointment with Dr. Archina because 1. I had a fever the day of my appointment 2. Unforeseen transportation trouble and 3. I wasn’t comfortable letting her perform this stress test on me in her office, I’d only meet with this doctor once so I hadn’t learned to trust her especially knowing my previous issues with a stress test. I prefer having it done at a hospital where there are plenty of medical staff trained for cardiac arrest. Has she not ignored me telling her about my allergic reaction I believe we could have found other solutions so now here staff are telling me that I’m being charged $150 for the medicine that was ordered for the stress test. Again had she listen to me and not been such a know it all then all of this could have been avoided. Well nothing lost and nothing gained. The charge can’t be placed on my credit report because it’s now unlawful to pave medical charges on a persons credit report and I’d only visited with her once so it’s not like I had a good rapport with her so I’ve already requested a referral to a different cardiologist. I pray that whomever it is will be very knowledgeable, professional and a great listener. There’s no harm in hearing what the patient has to say sometimes instead of trying to be a know it all, yes you’re the doctor so naturally you’re highly educated in the area of medicine, medical and healing but just let the patient fill you in on what they do know about their health especially considering that nuclear medicine could have ended my life and all you had to do was to take heed to what I was telling you. It’s even safer that she never even documented what I said to her. I wonder what she would have told my grieving family when asked what my cause of death was. People if you choose to be a patient of hers I beg you to please make sure that she acknowledge your concerns completely because the fact that she went ahead and ordered nuclear medicine to inject me with tells me that yes I would have died or had serious life threatening complications in the day of my appointment and she wants me to pay for the unused medicine. Thank god I can think clearly for myself and not put my trust wholeheartedly in a doctor or anyone.

Very Rude and uncaring Doctor
My initial concern for going to Dr. Srivastava was because being on beta blockers were interfering with my blood sugars meds causing severe anxiety. My initial visit with Dr. Srivastava was 10 min. She just told me to take the same medicine I was on, take 3 instead of 2. 3 was too much. She did not address my concern. She noticed the veins in my legs and wanted to set up a Dopler procedure to remove my varicose veins. I decided not to have the procedure and wear compression stockings. I had been calling the office about my meds and side effects, so she approved calcium channel blockers over the phone thru her rude nurse/staff, after I continued to call. I have lots of questions about blood pressure meds and the side effects I'm having. She told her staff to tell me to find another doctor! I feel that she is a very rude and uncaring doctor, working in a poor community. I do not recommend her. She is rude and she teaches her staff to be the same way.

Dr. Archana Srivastava has been my Cardiac and Vascular Specialist for about 14 years. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. I was recommended to her by another doctor after I told him I was not satisfied by a previous Cardiac Doctor. Dr. Archana Srivastava took me as patient and quickly found I need to be on other medicines and with my condition I needed to also see a Cardiac Electrophysiology & Pacing Doctor. If I had not seen this doctor I would not be here to recommend Dr. Srivastava. She is a very passionate doctor and listen to you answering any questions you have and tells you in a way you can understand what she is saying. I recommend her highly and I am proud to call her my Cardiologist.

The doctor visit itself was routine. She wanted me to get scan but couldnt wait so sceduled for the next week. When I showed up for my SCHEDULED scan I waited for 40 mins and asked how much longer. They said 20 more mins. I have had many scans and Never had to wait 1 hour for a scheduled scan, doctors yes, but not scans. I was upset and left. This seemed very inefficient and will never go back there. I never understand why medical people can treat sick people like this!
