Dr. Arin Braseth, MD

He lacks compassion and empathy and has very poor listening skills. Very arrogant.

Horrible - overbilled for ED Visit. I received my bill for an ED visit (where the Dr himself only saw me for less than 2 minutes). He had multiple imaging tests done. Told me it was likely a gallstone and to follow up with my PCP. After speaking with a surgeon, the surgeon told me they should have sent me to surgery right away. When I got my bill it showed "Insurance Denied". I contacted his office via email and asked them to make sure they sent it through correctly, even sent them pics of front and back of my card. They eventually responded saying the bill was correct. I made a large payment to what they said I owed, only to get a notice from my insurance showing what was billed, what was "allowed", what my insurance covered, and what my responsibility was... which was a tiny fraction of what they insisted I owed. Their system shows I have a credit balance and yet no one has reached out to me about how to reimburse me for the over billed amount.

Dr. Braseth is the worst doctor I’ve ever seen. Reading reviews I see I’m not the only one to have had this experience. I saw him in the ER at St. Pete’s in Olympia for a herniated disc that was compressing a nerve causing pain and numbness. He called my spine doc and asked if he should admit me for surgery and my doc said YES, he then returned to the room and said my surgeon agreed with him that I should NOT be admitted. He documented on my discharge papers that I was the one to refuse to be admitted. When I saw my surgeon the following week because my pain had not improved he told me that he had told Dr. Braseth to admit me for surgery. Dr. Braseth’s parting words to me were, “lots of people have back pain, they figure out how to deal with it”. I’ve filed a complaint with the hospital and he’s being investigated; I would highly recommend others who have had negative experiences do the same.

Awful doctor. Rushes the patient and doesn't even take the time to listen to the whole problem. Instead of doing tests to rule out many possibilities, doctor only orders a pregnancy test which has nothing to do with the problem. He never followed up with the patient and is impossible to reach for questions afterwards. He doesn't care about patient's wellbeing and just seems overworked and rushed. Don't see this doctor if you're looking for quality care or actual answers to medical problems.

This doctor failed to diagnose a parotid gland infection although my left side of my face was extremely swollen. .His report indicated alcohol use and my reason for visiting the ER was to seek pain meds. I requested antibiotics, labs and x-ray which he declined. I informed him I just needed help as I was in extreme pain and could not open my mouth. He denied my requests and said I was able to open my mouth and I was just refusing. I ended up being hospitalized by another ER and had 2 surgeries
