Dr. Saxena is phenomenal. I had my right hip replaced this morning, got home at 3pm. Pain is minimal, able to walk without any assistance from a cane or walker. Dr Saxena is a tremendous talented surgeon. The entire Rothman staff is very professional and caring. For anyone considering a hip replacement, I would highly recommend Dr Saxena

His incision line was superb.Perfect right knee replacement from a femur fx on 87 yr old . Kudos and many many thanks for saving moms life by giving her ability to stand turn walk again .

I am writing this review for my mom, who had a TKR performed by Dr. Saxena. We were not at all pleased with the experience. Dr. Saxena's operation did not ultimately lead to a positive outcome for her, and she will  need to do reconstruction surgery. We found Dr. Saxena's overall approach and bedside manner to be quite lacking. He was not thorough in the pre-surgery examination of her knee. He was also brusque and rushed through her post-op appointments, even though she complained of severe and ongoing pain. He did not take the time to adequately answer her questions or to provide any insights as to what could be causing her the post-op pain and lack of positive progress. His PA was also not helpful or responsive at all after the surgery. Overall, Rothman Orthopedics seems to be a surgery mill that lacks due concern for their patients' recovery process and ultimate outcomes. Would not recommend this practice.

I started having hip pain and didn’t know where to begin so my primary Dr. referred me to Rothman. I went on their website and watched a video of Dr. Saxena and I was really impressed by how nice and thorough he was in all his information so I decided to book an appointment with him. Booking the first appointment was so easy - all I had to do was go online to his calendar and find a convenient day/time for me and book it. So simple! Everything from booking the appointment, to getting my Steroid shot and my after appointment was so easy. I LOVE Rothman and Dr. Saxena is the Best!! And he’s so easy to talk to and gives you all the information you need. So happy I found them.

Dr. Saxena and his team are beyond amazing. He performed complete hip replacement surgery on 6/27/23 on my mother in law after a bad fall. She is 76 and only a month after surgery is walking with a cane and doing very well. Dr. Saxena is truly the best surgeon and really cares about his patients from start to finish. His team is very personable and efficient and has always been available and on top of everything. I'm so happy we found Rothman and can't recommend them highly enough. 12 weeks post TKR and I’m doing things I haven’t done in years- like walking up and down steps like a normal person! Everything went smoothly from the surgery, to Recovery to PT. Dr. Saxena is a talented surgeon and was very realistic about how much of a ROM he and I could achieve. I am able to do so much more pain free than in the past 5 years thanks to him!

Dr. Saxena is a gifted surgeon who successfully guided my care over an extended period. He always has time to answer questions and provide support. He is realistic in his approach and doesn’t foster false hope. There was never any doubt I was in the best of hands.

Very personable. Takes his time to explain treatment plan, but at the same time, engages the patient to become involved in treatment options. Highly recommend him for knee and hip problems as that is his specialty. I think he also is very compassionate and caring when, in my experience, it is difficult to find those characteristics.
