Disappointing appointment
Dr Sood is now in New York at WNY Retina Specialists since 2023. I had to see him today because my regular specialist was out. I waited for 29 minutes before being called back by a tech to an exam room. I am allergic to latex which a 'glaucoma pen' contains so the tech advised Dr Sood would do the tonometry. After waiting 20 more min Dr Sood came in.I asked about alternative medications available to treat wet AMD since the grant that covered my injections was no longer available. He said he could not advise as I was another doctor's patient. His process pre-injection was also very different than I was accustomed to and I experienced quite a lot of discomfort. I did not receive any injection today. Dr Sood refused to administer the glaucoma test because I was not getting an injection. The medicine can raise the intraocular pressure and the outcome of this is there is no record whether or not the pressure was affected by my last injection. My 1:30pm appt ended at 3:00pm.

Gentle and thorough
Dr. Sood has been the most gentle eye specialist that has given the eye injections at CEI. He is informative, knowledgeable and thorough with his examinations.

From the moment you meet Dr. Sood, you know you are in the care of an skilled and caring physician. He is very personable and will answer any questions you may have. He takes the time to explain his findings, will present you with options for treatment, and will share his opinion on how he feels you should proceed. I feel very fortunate to have him as my ophthalmologist!

I was scared to death,had a torn retina,fearful of losing my eye,dr sood was my guardian angel,put me at ease and saved my eye. He was unbelievable and I can’t begin to express my gratitude to this man. Easily the best doctor I’ve ever had the privilege to experience!

Every person we encountered from the front desk, to nurses, technicians and both doctors were caring, informative, kind and sympathetic to what my husband was experiencing. They got him fast tracked to the needed surgery after detailing the procedure and answering our many questions. We are truly grateful for the positive way they handled a serious situation and put us both a little more at ease.

Having a rare eye disease makes it's hard to trust a doctor I haven't known most of my life. Dr. Sood (and Dr Weymire) and all of the staff at CEI Mercy West were really fabulous and made me feel like they are prepared to do the research as well as be with me each step of the way.
