Distracted, checklist-doctoring
When I asked a question, Dr. Pak lost her place in her script and was clearly annoyed that she had to stop and talk with me, and then she’d get right back to her checklist running through the list of things she had to say she talked with me about. My concerns were not clearly addressed.

Dr. Pak is awesome!
Dr. Pak is well acquainted with my health history which includes osteoporosis. She has taken the time to discuss the process of how the bones are remodeled and how medication can effect that process to promote bones health. I definitely feel like an individual and feel included in my own health plan.Overall it is a great practice from top to bottom. I have received great care and feel that the staff has advocated for me with the insurance company when needed. Great nurses!

Dr Pak has made me feel like a burden at every visit. It’s like she does not want to be there, she’s very cold, clinical, and really makes you feel like she has other places she’d rather be. Being pregnant and dealing with a previous traumatic birth, she doesn’t seem to care about patients concerns. Everytime I leave an appointment from Doctor Pak I feel defeated.

Definitely not my first choice…
Like others here have mentioned, my two experiences with Dr Pak have been less than desirable. This is my first pregnancy and I’m beyond thrilled (though I’ve had a rough 12 weeks - nausea and vomiting!) it’s still an exciting time and I should be able to trust my healthcare provider to guide me on this journey and answer any questions I may have with grace and empathy. Dr Pak seems very cold, struggles to make eye contact, didn’t ask me at all how I’m doing in either appts or how I’m feeling, or any symptoms I’m experiencing. I finally brought up an issue towards the end of my visit when I could tell she was ready to rush to the next appt and she had one foot on the door propped open while explaining things on the way out. What I found odd about her rush out the door is that my first appt she was 30 minutes late in seeing me and ultimately made me change rooms and there I waited another 20 minutes before seeing her again. I’m hoping the rest of the providers are more patient focused.

I saw Dr. Pak, and as many other patients have warned on all sites- I found her to be more interested in throwing attitude and judgement than sharing knowledge or having an open, beneficial conversation. Even at the end of the appointment when there would be an ability to ask questions- Dr. Pak didn’t offer to answer anything, stood with her back to me and her hand on the door handle as I asked her the 3 questions I had brought with me to my appointment. I have never had an experience in my adult life with a medical professional that left me struggling as to how to respond, or even how to process what was happening. It goes beyond poor bedside manner (scoffing, judgmental expressions, cutting you off with loud “no” or “wrong”, sighing loudly.) Not an ideal place to be left feeling degraded, vulnerable, and roughly handled physically and as a patient.

I initially started seeing Dr. Pak during my second pregnancy and she has been awesome! I have had my annual visits with her and she does a great job listening to any concerns I have and providing medical feedback. She is definitely my provider of choice. Very friendly, great at putting me at ease.

Dr. Pak showed a condescending demeanor, was uncapable of looking at me in the eyes while talking to me and was visible eager to go the next patient. She answered questions in a robotic and detached manner, repeating the facts she read on papers without realizing that she was speaking to a human being. Her lack of bed side manners makes it very difficult to understand how is she working in this practice. I am grateful that I am a healthy individual, as I do not know what could happen if bad news need to be delivered by Dr Pak. She was upset that she had to write a prescription that a PCP could write. She brushed off my questions about what type of mammogram I needed (asked me to make my own decision) and made it visible that she was annoyed by my questions (I wanted to know if I needed an ABUS screening due to my dense mammary tissue). I will allow my PCP to do the pelvic and breast exams moving forward so I can save myself from such an uncomfortable experience.

Dr. Pak delivered my first child and made the experience so warming. I was in labor for 29 hrs before we ended up having to have an emergency cessation but throughout the step of the way she explained everything. After the birth she stayed in contact with me giving me doctors notes to help with the healing process and a listening ear. My husband has already said for our next baby he wants Pak lol

Dr. Pak is the best gyno I have ever had! She is super sweet and quirky, and was great at calming nerves. She explains everything that is happening in great detail and always is a smiling face. I have recommended her to several of my friends, all of which have agreed that she is the best!

Poor bedside manner. She barely made eye contact when talking with us, just read off a screen. Rushed through ultrasound and we were not able to hear the heartbeat nor told us what the heart rate was. Seemed very condescending and unapproachable. I left the office very upset and has really decreased my excitement during our first pregnancy.

Very poor bedside manner. Not confident in decision-making. Largely unfamiliar with clinical guidelines for recommending diagnostic imaging. Spoke in medical terms that were difficult to understand. I left her office in tears. I have been happy with other providers within this practice, but I would absolutely never see this doctor again.
