Incompetent, arrogant, misdiagnosed me .
I am a physician specialist in practice for 40 years. My ophthalmologist retired and turned her practice over to him. Dr. Terry told me I had macular degeneration. He would not explain. He was rude. I told him my glasses prescription needed revision; he said, 'get used to it'. I saw a retina specialist in Houston who is excellent, and I DO NOT have macular degeneration. Dr. Terry is rude and incompetent.

Former longtime patient
I saw Dr. Terry for years as a teen and never had an issue, but the quality of care has gone downhill recently. I went to my first appointment as an adult (without my parents) and had a terrible experience. Once I got seated in my room, I could hear the office staff loudly arguing with each other outside my room. The assistants were also arguing about who was going to take the next patient. Everyone has bad days but there were points where they were literally YELLING at each other. As for Dr. Terry… he was extremely rushed. He randomly retracted his prior diagnosis (of several years) with hardly any explanation. He also asked so many odd questions about myself, including if I had a boyfriend or not. He divulged personal details about himself (such as famous women he’s dated) that were not relevant or professional to speak about. I will never return here again.

Definitely steer clear!
Cataract surgery with this doc. Very poor care. Does not listen. Ongoing issues even 6+ months out. Go elsewhere!

Dr. Terry has a busy practice with many locations. He also employs several techs and one woman in particular, was very rude and obnoxious. This doctor is personable but the last time he did an exam he hurt my left eye and it took quite a while to recover. Their receptionist is very professional and when you have an early appointment you are seen promptly.

Dr Terry was very dismissive and due to the fact that I was the last appointment of the day he was extremely rushed and didn't take any time to explain what he was dictating to his assistant. He was rude and the wait time certainly didn't warrant the service I received

As a physician myself I researched every ophthalmologist on my insurance plan and chose Dr. Terry due to his depth and breadth of experience. My cataract surgery went flawlessly and I will be having the other eye done in the next several weeks.
