I have been a patient of Dr. Cjhanin for most of his medical years of practice. His diagnosis has always been correct and I would hesitate to ever have to switch doctors or look for some other family physician..

The system keeps telling me my review is too harsh. Short version, do not go there. You will end up paying way more than you could possibly imagine.

I went to dr Chanin periodically 35 years ago and he was a good doctor. His “bedside manner” is not what it use to be. I’m not sure he’s still really with it. Also, I have never spoken with a more incompetent or rude front office person. ... I wish I had our conversations recorded. You wouldn’t believe it unless you experienced it. He hung up on me after having a one sided broken English yell fest with himself as if he was furious before he revived my call. Sheesh. Also google their phone number and you’re connected with a dr office not even in El Segundo. Their real number is 310 322-1611. Call it if you want an exercise in frustration. The female Dr. that works with Dr Chanin is WONDERFUL. But even if you make an appt with her Dr Chanin will walk in to your room and take over before she comes in. Dang it. Sad.

I have had Dr. Chanin as a family dr and also a wonderful friend for the 6 years I lived in El Segundo, CA. He has been a great Dr who I contribute to saving my life when I suddenly fell ill (105-degree temperature ) and ordered my wife to take me immediately to the Emergency room. Had he not intervened the Drs at the hospital told me if I had delayed coming in when I did I probably would have died! ( I was diagnosed with a full-blown Staph infection! which had already started to infect my heart and brain. I had to have my Aortic valve replaced and put on the strongest antibiotic at the time, Vancomycin which ultimately saved my life. ). I owe my life to Dr. Arnold Chanin. Not only is a great doctor but who is even a greater friend! Thank you, Dr. Chanin, and may God bestow upon you and your family rich blessings and great health!

51 years practice says it all, time to consider full retirement. Had one visit, got idea another Dr. took over the practice and he is now part time. The front office was rude and unapologetic. He was visibly irritated with his staff, not a good vibe.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Dr. Chanin is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered. And his office staff is equally incompetent. Due to his and his staff's negligent care, and being told that my symptoms were not of much concern, I'm in far worse condition had I received the proper treatment when sought. He is condescending and yells, and despite his age, acts like a child and hangs up to get in the last word. He is so unbelievably unprofessional and doesn't take to listen.
