Dr. Olajos Listened to my Concerns
Dr. Olajos was my GP for about two years before I moved out of the area. Every visit was pleasant. Dr. Olajos was always patient with my questions and seemed genuinely concerned about my health, but I want to give a more specific shoutout. As a patient in my early to mid 30s, Dr. Olajos still listened to my concerns about a family history of colon cancer alongside some minor symptoms I was experiencing and put in a referral for me to be screened. Per the gastroenterologist who later performed that screening, it's a good thing, because they found a massive polyp that likely would have developed colon cancer, per his report, 'within two years.' Thank you, Dr. Olajos, for listening to my concerns!

Best for INFORMED Patients.
He is a very quiet thoughtful individual. I find you need to be concise and thoughtful in working with him. He is very knowledgeable, but also conservative in his approach to practicing medicine. He will respond to MyChart - but only to concise questions.

He didn’t seem to take my concerns seriously at all. He seemed rushed. He put me on a new medication that made me have an allergic reaction and wanted me to continue them anyways after having breathing problems.

I believe Dr. Olajos is a good doctor, but he's nothing special. He isn't as proactive at identifying potential areas of concern as doctors I've had in the past. We meet every 6 months to confirm my Rx for an SSRI. He is friendly, but doesn't provide a lot of clear context or his thoughts. Patient education is lacking relative to other doctors, and communication is minimal.

Would not recommend. He doesn't seem to connect with me. Posibbly due to the fact his main patient population is older makes and I am younger. I will note I definitely have anxiety but who wouldn't if you had tachycardia and sleep apnea? He prescribed a benzo to me for a case of osa. I find out that benzos for OSA leave you at a higher risk of dying due to respiratory failure. Granted this was a recent study but it seems fairly pertenant.

I have found Dr. Olajos to be extremely thorough and knowledgeable. You can tell he actually looks at your chart when he brings up procedures/tests that you are due for. Easy to talk to and explains things in an easy to understand manner without talking down to you. Listens to what you have to say and responds accordingly. Is very respectful of you as a person and of your privacy.
