Dr. Arthur Herpolsheimer, MD

I had a disappointing experience with Dr. Hepolsheimer. I felt like my questions were a bother to him rather than a priority during my office visit. He was NOT attentive during my visit and I felt like my questions annoyed him. It was an extremely uncomfortable visit for me. I would NOT recommend him based on my experience.

I seen this dr for my entire pregnancy and he even delivered my baby at the hospital (2020). This was my 3rd child and previous had Kaiser in Ca . I very much liked the entire experience as well as knowing the dr delivering my baby when the time had came .

I am a long time patient of Dr. Herpolsheimer. I like that he gives me specific, medical fact based answers when I have questions - rather than general, high level information. It is great that the office runs efficiently and doesn't appear to overbook, showing me he is a doctor that values my time as well as his own.

He really listened to my concerns and provided a solution.

Very through visit, Dr took time to explain everything that was required during the visit. Answered every question I had throughly, extremely knowledgeable, friendly and made me feel at ease. Staff is Friendly and courteous. Office and exams rooms clean!

Dr HERPOLSHEIMER who gave incorrect information over the phone. How can a dr call for a follow up two weeks after and appointment and just say your pregnancy is not viable even though it’s confirmed at 6 weeks with a heartbeat? How can he give that information over the phone? He didn’t ask if I had symptoms of bleeding or cramps until after I made him double check the records. Then said “well you have your 8 week appointment in two days so keep that so we can see what’s going on but your pregnancy is not viable I’m sorry”. I have no symptoms and I couldn’t wait two days knowing that a dr just told me I’m gonna miscarry. I walked in to the clinic and seen a different doctor. Luckily My baby is growing healthy and has a strong heartbeat at 8 weeks which is great news! In an already anxiety filled stressful time during the first trimester I can’t even express how emotional and disheartening it is to call a patient saying they are going to miscarry! Hopefully you get out of this practice

I've been going to this OBGYN for over 10 years and I will not be returning purely because of Dr. Herpolsheimer. He was extremely rude and lacked any empathy. I may have suffered from a miscarriage and he showed zero bedside manners, was extremely condescending and was just overall not pleasant. If you do go to WHASN request that he is not your doctor because he truly made my experience much worse than it already needed to be.

Well he delivered all four of my children in the last 19 years an let me tell you the best obgyn I've ever meet it's not easy being a doctor let alone a women's doctor an prego women at that I'd recommend him every time thanks Dr.H you the bomb

Do not recommend for first time mothers or anyone looking for a compassionate doctor for that matter. Only met him once before during my pregnancy doctor visits and he ended up being the one to deliver my baby. I am a healthy 23 y/o with no complications during my pregnancy and ended up with a c section. He was rushing me while I was in labor to get me to the operating room while I was throwing up. So that was the first incident. Didn’t really see much of him after the surgery. I had mentioned that I was still having pain at my 6 week postpartum visit he said it’s normal. And when he did a vaginal exam I made painful facial expressions and said “ow” while he was checking me and he had the audacity to tell me “relax, it doesn’t hurt that bad” (as if he knew what a vaginal exam felt like after having a baby) I was so in shock that those words even came out of his mouth, in the moment I was silent but I wish I would’ve said something. Never want to see him again!

Dr. Herpolsheimer delivered my baby boy 31 years ago at Madigan Army Medical Hospital. I was over due and I did not like him at first, of course my hormones were raging. He looked at me touched my stomach and sent me home..I was overdue. He wasn't very friendly, but easy to the eyes!:) He was on call when it was time for me to deliver..I had an emergency caesarean..I respect him because my scar is perfect..even to this day..Also I have a wonderful son..31 years old, college graduate and productive citizen! He has his ways but he is a great doctor!

Slow test results or no communication!! I had come in for a possible yeast infection while I was 16 weeks pregnant. As he was looking down there, he said “yup looks like a yeast infection”. It has been 10 days since that visit, and I have yet to receive a call about my results or a prescription. I called 4 times and could not get through to speak to anyone. I have been suffering, and decided to go to a new doctor. Within 2 days I received my results and have gotten a prescription from my new doctor. WHASN has too many patients to handle if they cannot answer their phones, return calls, or get test results to their patients in a reasonable time.

This doctor barely answered any of my actual concerns as he was so busy zoning in on forcing me to take birth control pills when I was no longer sexually active (from a past relationship), had very healthy skin, and no hormone issues. He made me very uncomfortable and I can see why I got scheduled onto him since all the other doctors kept getting booked up. His staff were also unwilling to explain to me what was the "ABnormal tissue" they found and told me "not to worry about it".

Had a visit with him today & was the worst visit I have EVER experienced with any doc. He was rude, inappropriate, & unsupportive. I literally left the office BALLING (almost 37 weeks pregnant). I wouldn’t recommend him at all.

Dr. Herpolsheimer delivered my baby boy on June 4th via C Section. He is also one of my regular ObGYN doctors. Dr. H. is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I've seen. He is straight forward and to the point. Thank you doc for delivering my beautiful baby boy! We are so grateful it was you delivering that night.

Dr Herpolsheimer mistook me for another patient when I had a follow up appointment. The office ultrasound tech wrote down the wrong due date and because of that, Dr. H and another doctor at WHASN refused to schedule another ultrasound. They just automatically expected my pregnancy to go south. I'm extremely disappointed in their lack of competency and lack of compassion in my care. I don't know if this is just an isolated incident but I will not go back to the doctors that work at WHASN.

Dr. H was incredibly nice at my 12 week appointment. The clinic he is at recommends seeing a new doctor each time and he was the most sincere. He answered my questions, talked about how I was doing and gave me all the information I needed to know. He was so great.

The doctor was caring, gentle, and intelligent. He listens and he explained things in a way I could understand.

Dr H delivered my daughter 23 years ago in Germany,i will always remember how caring he was! She now has a daughter of her own!!??

I had such a good experience with Dr. H! I had 2 high risk pregnancies and he was so compassionate and understanding with my concerns and questions. I never had issue with communication between he and my perinatologist either. During both my high risk c sections he kept the mood light! As my regular ob he is just as informative with my concerns. I appreciate his dry sense of humor and his to the point manner. I don't want to hear a lot of small talk when the topic at hand is serious.

The WORST doctor I have ever been to! He delivered by son and was rude to the nurses and myself! He has a cold personality and is not friendly! I would not recommend him to anyone!
