Highly recommend Dr Rafiq - great empathy and knowledge- diagnosed me quickly and for precaution scheduled endoscopy with in just a few days! A relief and miracle! Staff was efficient, helpful and caring. Addison location in Army Trail Road was easy to find plus he schedules procedures at various hospitals including Alexian Assencion and Glen Oaks. Some procedures are done in office depending on insurance.

Dr. Rafiq was a godsend. Referred to me by Dr. Jonathan Wallace, I went to see him to schedule an endoscopy and a possible TIF procedure. I was soooo tired of vomiting and taking omeprazole (for 5 years!). He also noted that I had osteoporosis and asthma and took that under consideration. In the end, he found esophagitis and worked with Dr. Wallace to do a TIF procedure. They repaired a large, twisted hernia, a procedure that normally takes 1-1/2 hours took 4 hours. I am so grateful they didn't give up! Recovery is long, but sooo worth it! I would recommend him to anyone!!

Dr. Rafiq was very professional, friendly, and courteous. He went above and beyond to make sure that my medical orders and referrals were promptly looked at. He spent a lot of time listening to my concerns and answered all my questions. Great doctor, and highly knowledgable. Thank You, Dr. Rafiq.

I came into the er via Ambulance vomiting blood and blood in my diarrhea. Dr.Rafiq was thorough! Terrific, a true concerned professional, treated me and my husband with respect, was very thorough in making sure I understood procedures and had excellent follow up after surgery . Felt like a friend not a number. Will happily recommend him!!! I am a 78 year old Marketing Manager.

I had scheduled a colonoscopy with this doctor and before taht I asked him not to administer anesthesia as I have big health problems after that and to give me a relaxing pill instead but he refused. The procedure suppose to be 1 hour but he was done in 20- 25 minutes and started at 9 : 00 am instead of 8:30 as Ii was already starved after so many hours of not eating. I believe he used more CO2 than he should've to rush me and finish it while as I heard he does it in 1 hour while other doctors do it in 2 hours. I'm 74 years old woman and he as a doctor should've been caring, respectful and with regards for a patient. we treat animals good but as human beings, why this treatment and be paid for it?

Very caring,compassionate, patient. He runs on time and does not rush visit. He answers all your questions without being rude.
