Dr. Ashlee Hardesty Van Ginkel, MD

My 14 your child with Autism was going to day treatment at NHMI for suicidal ideation and depression. Because I didn't agree to put my child in an inpatient program because I wanted another opinion, Dr. Hardesty submitted a claim to DCFS and claimed neglect. Now she has added additional mental health issues for my child and thinks he will be ripped from his family and home; the one place where he feels the safest and with his parents. She has lied claiming we refused inpatient treatment; when in fact I did until she would not let me his mother talk to my child with ASD about going to inpatient so he would understand what was going on. He had only met her twice and was in this program for 4 days. I knew he would not understand them explaining to him what was going on and why. I asked about him having abandonment issues, which she stated he would have and that they would help him through it. So add another mental issue on top of what he was already dealing with.
