Doctors these days seem to be under a lot of stress & distance since Covid. Actually had more good than bad visits with this practice. Her assistant is a blessing & the best in her field. Doctor always returns emails & writes referrals in a timely manner. Just one thing that I have noticed negative is a tight protocol that puts a wedge between patient & Doctor. She seems to be best during Telehealth visits than in person.

Unimpressed
The first visit she was pleasant-ish. Wasn't rushed, seemed like an OK doctor. From there it was all down hill! She takes pride in her bluntness, I prefer honesty in a doctor BUT she comes across as mean and rude and rarely honest. She says stuff just to say it. She kept saying I was pre-diabetic, when I questioned her she told me I wasn't on my last test. (???!!) She told me I had chronic kidney disease but nothing to be done about it. Did some research on the test results and supposedly I have stage 3 disease and should be seeing a nephrologist. I gave her 2 stars instead of 1 because her staff is so kind, the doc is a 1. I really DON'T recommend her unless you're a suckered for punishment and poor treatment! I've given her 2 years of chances. Oh and she sees sick people by telehealth only.

Outstanding Primary Care Physician
Dr. Nelson has been my primary care physician for over three years and she has been an outstanding doctor for me. She works with me to develop a health plan that works for me and she listens well to my concerns. Her exams are thorough and she explains the results well. The nurses in her office have been very good. I do not need to wait long to be seen. I did not see a doctor for 30 years because my primary care practice was very top-down in style and had unconsionable waiting times. I am so glad that I switched to Dr. Nelson.

Lies to patient and in medical chart. Don’t listen. Is rude, cuts patient off in middle of sentence. Doesn’t keep her word.

My new #1 Primary Care Physician
Dr. Nelson is respectful of my concerns. She listens and takes time to explain the things appear contradictory. Ashley appears to appreciate the patient's contributions to their own health. I've been impressed by her empathetic demeanor. My previous physician retired and I feared I'd never find another that could fill her stethoscope, but I was wrong. Dr Ashley Nelson has exceeded all my expectations.

Post Pandemic
Something is definitely different here after Pandemic. If you read the reviews you will see how the behaviors of office staff and doctor have gone down… way down… I too saw her in 2019 and early 2020 but since then, I have gone back once! And I don’t like the one office one bit!

Horrible Manner – Apr 08, 2022
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Nelson?
This is a review of the office not necessary the dr. This office is horrible! First no one ever answers the phone, when you leave a message no one ever calls back. if you do finally get someone is all defensive and excuses and literally zero progress for the reason you called aside from explaining why it's someone else's fault. This office needs better management it's ridiculous. They absolutely make you feel like they do not care about your health or health concerns at all. If you want a GP that cares about you and your health do not come here. This office is the poster child for why people hate dealing with Drs offices. HORRIBLE!

Dr. Nelson continues to be my internist because when I find a professional, caring doctor, I am smart enough to consider this a treasured find. Not only is she thorough with one's updated medical information, she is always a good listener and makes decisions that are pertinent to a medical concern. Her staff is efficient and very professional.

Dr. Ashley Nelson is an absolute jewel! She listens to her patients; she cares about her patients; she's the REAL DEAL. The person doing her scheduling is awesome in that I've never had to wait more than ten minutes for my appointments. Dr. Nelson is a wonderfully supportive doctor in that you (a patient) feel she's a very interested participant in your journey toward better health. She's the best PCP I've had since moving here in 2012. I feel blessed to have her in my life.

Have been to her twice. She is not a partner in your health, but has a rather condescending attitude that she is the doctor and you are the patient and do not have anything to offer. She is not flexible nor up-to-date on nutrition based research. She has no sense of expediency in helping the patent get a diagnosis and treatment.
