The care and service of Dr. Burnett and all the team members was so beyond exceptional, I was very fortunate to receive such excellent care! Appointments were made quickly, and with this type of illness time really matters. They were all very understanding and patient.

Dr. Burnett and entire staff were very helpful and professional throughout a full range of health care services ranging from critical and challenging actual surgery and hospital stays, to multiple and informative office visits, to phone contacts addressing any and all questions, while coordinating care and treatment with another physician(s) and their staffs.

He explained my conditions very well. I had to go to Milwaukee to get the Whipple procedure done, because no one in the Appleton area does this procedure. GREAT TEAM I am very happy with my outcome.

Dr Burnett came back to St Mary’s in middle of the night and did emergency surgery on my esophagus that saved my life. He’s my hero.

I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal Serous Carcinoma, I was initially given 4-6 months to live. After biopsy surgery it was determined I needed an invasive procedure called a Hipec with a chemo swish. Dr. Burnett was very kind and informative, great bedside manner, was very patient in answering all my questions, and treated me and my family with a great deal of respect. He informed me of every test and the reason behind it. He included his associate Dr. Zhao, who was also amazing, and two separate other oncologists to coordinate the care i needed to beat my cancer. Very thorough in his processes and follow through. He saved my life, I'd highly recommend him as a provider!

I cannot emphasize how Dr. Burnett and his staff basically saved my life. I had an unexpected perforated upper small intestine (a little more detailed than that :) ). Dr. Burnett and his staff were very knowledgeable of the seriousness of my condition upon arrival via ambulance from another hospital ER visit and were extremely meticulous and careful during the surgery. He and his staff informed me and my family of the good results from the surgery and visited daily during my extended stay in the hospital. There was continuous monitoring of my condition and basically triple checking (Dr. Zhoa and Maggie) each and every day. Answered any and all questions I and my family had. Was very compassionate and great bed side manners to boot. I cannot Thank Dr. Burnett and his staff enough for all of the care that was provided to me. A Blessing. I am proud to have Dr. Burnett and his staff as my GI Surgeons.

Dr. Burnett is an exceptional physician and master surgeon. He immediately impressed me with his warmth, intelligence, ability to explain things in a manner that was easily understood, and commitment to my health. He guided me through my health issues with gastric cancer, including a bypass and removal of the mass. My recovery from both surgeries was very swift due to the artistry of his surgical skills, his postoperative treatment and his ability to inspire healing. He has an extremely strong work ethic that included discussions with me at midnight, taking calls from hospital staff at two in the morning, and visiting me on Sundays when he was scheduled off. His medical team rises to his example holding themselves to his level of attentiveness and effectiveness. It would be anyone’s good fortune to be under the care of Dr. Burnett and his colleagues. Dr. Burnett saved my life with the surgery he performed. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I met him. He explained in honest detail what he was going to do. He did such a great job that my recovery time beat all expectations. He followed up his work with great post surgical care. His PAs, partners, nurses and entire staff were excellent. Every staff member knew my condition and situation. Every time I had a question, it was answered promptly and accurately. Anyone that gets Dr. Burnett for their surgeon is truly blessed.

I met Dr Burnett on 9/6/22 and my surgery was on 9/19/22. As of today I am cancer free. I can't say enough about how competent this doctor and his team are!! His attention to my well being and keeping me feeling safe - well there just aren't enough words of praise!! I would recommend Dr Burnett in a heartbeat and have already begun to sing his praises.

Evaluated and removed cancerous lesions from liver.

I was extremely fortunate to be referred to Dr. Burnett by my oncologist. I was diagnosed in February with advanced liver cancer and after completing chemotherapy was a candidate for liver surgery. Dr. Burnett and his PA's Ben and Maggie are professional, very knowledgeable, and showed honest concern and empathy for what I was going through. Dr. Burnett took his time, explained in detail the surgery and what the plan after would include, and in terms my husband and I could understand. He is a perfectionist is his profession! His nursing and office staff were very prompt on answering any questions that we had. The nursing staff on the 6th floor Ascension Columbia St Mary's were also amazing! I would highly recommend Dr. Burnett and would choose him if I have to ever have another surgery!

In early February, I was diagnosed with advanced liver cancer. I was told there was no cure by both Mayo and CSM. Dr. Burnett had my case reviewed with the tumor board and it was recommended that the best course of action would be to have 2 procedures, y90 and bland embolization. Dr. Knapp, interventional radiologist performed those procedures. Several months after, Dr. Burnett once again put my case before the review board. After a couple of imaging tests Dr. Burnett recommended surgery. Surgery was August 2nd. The pathology report came back that there was no evidence of cancer. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to everyone involved. I will forever be thankful to Radiology, Cancer, the staff of both departments, and the nurses on the 6th floor during my hospital stay. Dr. Burnett and Dr. Knapp are heroes. They gave me hope and a longer life to look forward to.

He was amazing he cut out all the cancer. Very clean and neat scar. Yes, I compared to others his work was perfect. I love his comforting personality. Going threw stomach cancer he made me feel like he had everything under control. I had nothing to worry about he has an efficient team. That supports him completely.

From initial consultation through surgery follow up, Dr. Burnett and his staff kept me informed of next step. Surgery was successful with an uncomplicated recovery. The doctor was both professional and kind.
