Dr. Autumn Hardin, MD

She was my Anesthesiologist on two occasions. First time was with a closed displaced transverse fracture of the knee, patella The second time was for routine scheduled colonoscopy. I am a retired nurse. She was amazing and has the best bedside manner, thorough in explaining. Of course, having surgery creates some anxiety, she was so calm pre and post operative,, it was a comfort.

In August of 2021 I went in for major back surgery. I was very nervous and anxious. She went above and beyond to put me at ease! Most anesthesiologists will quickly pop their head in and tell you their name. Dr Hardin came in with the biggest smile and you could see the compassion she has in her eyes. She grabbed my hand and held it while she told me who she was and what she was there to do. Her bedside manner was exceptional and immediately alleviated my fears and anxiety! I hope to have her again for any future surgeries! She is definitely the best anesthesiologist I’ve ever encountered!

This was not my visit but my daughters. Dr. Hardin was a miracle working lifesaver on the day my daughter had her baby. My daughter has a complete fusion in her back due to scoliosis and we were told by her back surgeon years ago that she would be able to have an epidural some day. On the day of delivery, someone came in to talk to her about her epidural and after looking at the pictures of her xrays, told her that she would not be able to get one and would just have to have a natural birth. She was completely devastated. They then did another consult and involved Dr Hardin. She was very understanding and willing to go ahead with the epidural. She explained everything to my daughter completely. It was perfect and made the whole day a more pleasurable experience for my daughter. I know she will forever be grateful to Dr Hardin and as a mother, I am grateful for her experience, knowledge, and since she is a female, she understood how important this was to my daughter. Absolutely awesome, I will ask for her every time I or my wife need an anesthesiologist. She had the most comforting words prior to my surgery. I wish more doctors were like her.
