Dr. Avantika Mishra, MD

Ms. Mishra has great reviews and I can't help but wonder if these are truly patients that saw her. My experience was one of her laughing as I explained my previous health history. As I sat in the office waiting for my appointment, I hadn't even seen by her, and got a text from my pharmacy saying my prescription from her was ready. Imagine that?! She hadn't even spoken to me to know my possible allergies or health history, but the office was already sending a prescription for my colonoscopy. This is how she works, get people in and out and follow standard procedures that work for most people without listening or considering individual needs.

I made an appointment to see Dr. Mishra, seeking a second opinion from my own Doctor. I made the appointment one month in advance. Instead of seeing Dr. Mishra, I was passed off to a very nice Physician's Assistant. I made the appointment to see a gastroenterologist, not a Physician's Assistant. Intereatingly, I was still billed as if I saw a gastroenterologist: $338. I needed to hear options from a specialist; why else would I pay a someone more than twice what my own doctor charges? My wallet is lighter by $338, and I still want to hear an opinion from a gastroenterologist. I'm a bit wiser now: 1) Think twice about second guessing my own doctor and 2) Seek out doctors who will actually see their patients.

Dr. Mishra and the staff at The Endoscopy Center are stellar. Everyone was knowledgeable, communicated well and was kind and respectful. This was truly the best medical experience I’ve had.

I don't think many people look forward to a colonoscopy but Dr. Mishra and her staff are top notch and take a lot of the anxiety away.

Since moving to the Bradenton area, several years ago, I had been seeking a Gastroenterologist, and after three attempts, with three unsatisfactory GI doctors, I finally found  Dr. Avantika Mishra, who was highly recommended to me.  And, now, as her patient, I am also pleased to highly recommend her.  Dr. Mishra is exceptional -- she is kind, caring, considerate, highly qualified, very thorough, and very reassuring. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns, and takes the time to explain things to me. I have the utmost confidence in her, and I am very happy with the office and nursing staff, as well.

Showing genuine care and compassion to a patient is key for a physician but doctor Mishra is lacking not only these 2 important factors but also taking time to listen to the patient and show respect. I moved to Sarasota and had to change doctors, I saw the good reviews and I thought she could help me with my health condition called gastroparesis, I even arranged a colonoscopy and endoscopy with her but according to her I got "nothing" after years struggling with with extreme heart burn, nausea, stomach cramps, feeling bloated chest pain and diarrhea among other things.

Just had my first visit with Dr. Mishra, I am overwhelmed at my good fortune for the referral to this group and picking Dr. Mishra. I have complete confidence in her and know I am in good hands. Office staff very good and attentive.

Honestly the best gastro doctor in FL. I was treated quickly. waiting room was comfy. they offered me water which was very nice of them. as well as they cured my gastro issue. love this firm!!!!!!
