Dr. Aymar Rodriguez Perez, MD

Dr. Rodriguez has changed my life. My A1C was 10.8 at one point and is now 7.2. I’ve seen reviews here that she don’t care but what she is is honest! She’s going to tell you like it is instead of sugar coating and giving you the run around because that’s what you want to hear. I can say that I’m alive because of her care and because she was honest and said what are you doing to yourself. I recommend her to anyone that wants to hear the truth and want to get better n life.

This doctor does not have a caring bone in her body. She was very short and quite rude and did not know any of my medical history even though all records had been transferred from my previous doctor’s office. She had not bothered to reviewed any of my history provided before our appointment. She was very unprepared and seems to be bothered that I felt she should have known a little bit of my medical history. As I asked questions of her, which seemed to make her frustrate her with me that I dare ask any questions, and after less than 15 minutes said that my appointment had to be done at this time as she had other patients even though she was 15 minutes late to my appointment. I ended my appointment feeling very upset and disrespected. I will not being going back to see her. I will be giving one of the other doctors in the practice a try, but if this does not turn out better, I will not be going back to an Advent Health physician in any medical practice.

Dr Rodriguez Perez was wonderful. She was very through and I felt like she listened and was not rushed

This doctor does not have a good bedside manner. She was very abrupt and seemed to know nothing of my medical history even though she had already had all of my information. She hadn’t even reviewed my test results until I was sitting in the room with her. My previous doctors had taken the time to review them before the appt so we could discuss my care and next steps. She seemed very out of sorts. I had several questions and she seemed to get frustrated with me because I had asked them even saying to me at one point, “No more questions.” With her rude delivery, I couldn’t tell if she was asking me if I had no more questions or telling me not to ask any more questions. I was shocked! Twice during my appointment her nurse came into the room and they started speaking Spanish in front of me. I feel that is so rude & inappropriate to speak another language in front of a patient twice! I left my appointment feeling very upset and disrespected. I will not being going back to see her.

I would give zero stars if I could. Without getting to know me or my history, this doctor proceeded to tell me multiple times that my weight was “too much“, and recommended that I look into bariatric surgery. This doctor also just assumed that I don’t diet and exercise. If you want, a Doctor who is cold and unprofessional here she is.

She is the best endocrinologist with an excellent knowledge & really takes the time to care for her patients. My Mom and myself were patients of her at PR.

She is very professional and take her time to explain everything. If you still have question she answer all the question. Appointment process is very easy. Don't need to deal with nurse first. If you need a endocrinology doctor in this area Dr. Aymar Rodriguez is a good option.
