I was already diagnosed with Narcolepsy when I made an appointment with the doctor. I had just moved from Northern California to the Riverside area and was looking for a new sleep doctor. This doctor put words into my mouth that I never said and accused me of being a drug seeker. I left his office in tears. I would not reccommend this doctor to my worst enemy.

Would not listen to my concerns, talked over my and said that all dificulity getting appointments was my fault. Office staff ignores patients as they arrive. I left feeling insulted and in tears.

This doctor was very rude and insulting. Did not care about what brought me to see him, and asked if I'd like to diagnose myself or do I want his help. Never even examined me, yet gave me a diagnosis. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

To be honest, I'm Indian and it it just felt like dr was lacking empathy.... Just felt uncomfortable and sometimes spoke to like he was insulting me. He did come off as "old school" thinking but he's comes as a "no big deal" kinda guy. Im sure he's a great doctor but he's not for me.

Dr Rai seems like a very nice person. I drove 65 miles each way to see him. I have MS and was disappointed in his lack of knowledge about MS. My visit was today and when I returned home I made a new appointment with a different doctor that my insurance pre approved me to see as well. I wouldn't recommend this doctor for the treatment of MS.

My brother is having unknown symptoms that point to a movement/neurological disorder but Dr. Rai and his son "don't know" what's going on and told us NOT TO COME BACK anymore after sharing our opinion on what we see with him everyday and studied. When asked about a recent study of SWEDD, which is associated with Parkinson's, he was clearly unaware or even heard of it. STAY AWAY. This Dr. doesn't keep up with everyday practice and you should seek an alternative even if you have to drive farther.

I've been going to Dr. Rai for about 5 years now. He was the only doctor that actually tested me properly and notified of my severe sleep apnea after Kaiser doctors told me that I was fine. Under his care my episodes have reduced tremendously to virtually none . Thanks Dr. Rai
