Dr. Backer and her staffs were exceptional, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home. She was very courteous to my concerns and took a lot of notes. She was very informative about my concerns and the ones that were puzzling, she gave a comforting explanation and assure me that she was going to look them up. She is very approachable and has a very good listening skills. Thank you Dr. Backer. The nurse, Ms. Kiko, was exceptional as well. Her technique of having you relaxed before taking your vital stood out to me. She engages you with conversation about everyday stuffs while asking you about your medical history. Your health is very important and Dr. Backer and her staffs make sure that all your health concerns are met and explained to your understanding. They are the best, go and see them.

She was not thorough-now seeing a new internist who doesn’t miss a beat. 3 yrs ago I told Dr Backer about a horrible cough that wouldn’t go away and you think she’d send me for an X-ray? No, instead she prescribed a cough gel pill to stop cough. New internist sent me for chest cat Scan & found out I had lung nodule on right lung large enough to warrant a needle biopsy. Turns out I have Valley Fever which has also affected my urinary track and joints. All things of concern I related to Dr Backer.

I have been a patient at this practice for about five years. I don't know why I continued to stay but now that Doctor Backer is on a leave I am leaving this practice. The follow through in getting test results is nonexistent and I had to call multiple times to get my blood test results, mammogram, chest x ray and bone density. HORRIBLE care! Messages are never returned and it is a practice that I would NEVER recommend but rather caution everyone AGAINST using this practice.

I have always found Dr. Backer to be thorough and explains things very well. I am very confident in her medical opionions concerning my health. My only complaint is her nurse Marcie who is not only unfriendly and abrupt, doesn't return telephone calls and doesn't follow through on requests for information to be sent to other doctors.
