As a first year medical student, I'm appalled at Dr. Bath's bedside manner. She completely lacks empathy and communication skills. First she doesn't knock on the door before she enters. When she does enter she goes straight to her computer, doesn't shake my hand, doesn't ask me what I'm visiting for, and immediately starts charting on her computer. She was also very dismissive of my concerns during my visit. I'm not sure if she's burned out, but she is not a doctor I feel I can trust and open up to. However, she is a great example of what kind of doctor I do NOT want to be.

Terrible bedside manner – Oct 25, 2019

Will NOT refer Dr. Bath at all. I was seeking a primary care doctor after moving to NM. I also had a few minor problems that needed care and also needed a referral to a cardiologist. Dr. Bath was rude, dismissive and hardly looked at me, just the computer screen. When I asked her about one problem, she asked me if it was getting better; I said a little. Then she said curtly, "then don't worry about it!" That was the highlight of my visit. It was the worst medical experience ever. I will not go back to her. I am currently using an urgent care facility as my primary care doctor. She did refer me to a cardiologist and I am pleased with that referral. However, I would NEVER refer anyone to Dr. Bath. Shame on Lovelace Healthcare system for allowing this type doctor to practice under their guidance!!! Shameful!

I just saw Dr. Bath and I left in tears. She was not a friendly doctor and didn't seem to want to help me. I got the impression like so many of the other reviews that I was just wasting her time. It was a new patient appointment, she didn't check my heart or discuss my low blood pressure that the nurse tech brought to my attention. I told her I needed medication refilled for migraines. I told her the migraine medicine I take and that works for me. She wouldn't prescribe it but instead gave me a RX for a medication I told her DID NOT work for me. She didn't care and basically was just ready for me to leave. Don't waste your time with this doctor. It's obvious she should be retired. She is not personable and honestly it was the worst doctor appointment I ever had. Why is it so hard to find a good doctor?

This visit was a complete joke and Barbara Bath is the most condescending doctor I've ever met. She should be fired for her attitude and lack of compassion towards her patients. This visit and Barbara, we're a complete waste of time. I have also contacted Lovelace management and have a case open in regards to her professionalism and lack thereof. She should be receiving information regarding this claim shortly according to them.

If I could give Dr. Bath a zero I would. Absolutely do NOT recommend her as a primary. She literally told me, "well, if you won't take allergy medicine (for the flu) then there is nothing more I can do for you" and opened the door. Very rude. Doesn't listen. Doesn't explain nor give alternatives.

Dr. Bath is unfriendly and dismissive. Most recently, she took a week to renew a prescription and then called in the wrong dosage.

I agree with previous reviews as to her being judgemental and almost hostile attitude. It was like I was interrupting her day. She barely looked up from her computer. Didn't go any further with my complaints, just dismissed them. I was in exam room less than 5 minutes and she was impatient to get out of room. I needed to see a specialist and she told me to go home and find name of one I wanted! Will not return to her .

Wow, glad to read these reviews and know it was not just me. I saw Dr. Bath for the first time this week and was really put off by her hostile, impatient attitude. This is more minor, but I had also tried to change my appointment time and the person I talked to was unable to change it... they were supposed to call me back but never did. There was also quite a long wait time both in the waiting and the exam rooms.

I had a blood tests for lipids, blood sugar, and H.Pylori over a week ago, with a standard exam. After numerous attempts calling Dr. Bath's office, nobody is calling me back or giving me a timeframe whatsoever. H.Pylori can and does cause ulcers and cancer.

Worst medical experience I've ever had. I saw Barbara Baths for lower back pain and a bleeding issue. Not only was I told that she only had time to address one issue, I pretty much had to insist on X-rays. Then, she said that she didn't know how to read X-ray results (!) so the tech would give me a call later. Never received that call. And the office staff was unknowledgeable. The waiting room was huge and empty, perhaps a sign. Saw another doc within this group and received MUCH better care.

I was a first time patient with Dr. Bath this week. I found her to be thorough, attentive and professional. I mentioned my slight hearing loss and she was careful to always face me when speaking with me. I am pleased to now have her as my primary physician. I have had many decades of experience with physicians and I found nothing lacking in Dr. Bath's approach to learning about me and my health concerns.

I am so glad I read the other reviews. I thought it was just me. She made me feel as though I was an interruption to her day. Told her I was hard of hearing and she continued to talk away from me. Would not recommend her to anyone.

I saw Dr. Bath today and I was so disappointed.Once Dr.Bath came in I had three things I wanted to discuss which I communicated to the medical assistant. She addressed one and couldn't get out of the door fast enough.I let her know I had a couple other things I wanted to discuss and she turned around and couldn't have looked more annoyed and at that point she had only been in the room 5 minutes.Dr.Bath was not interested in my health concerns and I won't be returning.Office manager never called.

Dr. Bath is not someone i would use or recommend to anyone. I went to her with severe, crippling back pain. I was not asking for narcotics.... as a matter of fact, I turned them down. However, I did want an MRI to get a diagnosis of why I was so suddenly crippled. Getting her to agree to an MRI was a monumental achievement. It took 4 visits, weeks of pain, and aggressive 'begging'. The MRI showed major issues, but still she was slow to refer me for help. I left her practice.

I wouldn't recommend this Doctor to anyone. No compassion whatsoever. My CT results where a big deal TO ME and she acted to busy to explain. I am terrified due to my medical conditions and can't even talk to my doctor about it.

Looking for a new doctor in Albuquerque, NM – Apr 29, 2016
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Bath?
Well it was not good. Dr. Bath would be better off being a nurse. She would be fine to come in take your history vitals and leave. All she cares about is getting out of the room. She has no compassion or even tries to maintain any type of conversation with you. Most doctors try to get to know a New patient and they ask you all your history over to make sure nothing has changed and they learn more about you a human being. This is the worst doc I have ever had in my 50+ years on earth.
