Dr. Barbara Coven, MD

Dr Coven was late, incredibly rude and accusatory. At my daughter’s last check up, she sent us into a panic ordering all kinds of tests and demanded that I get them done immediately or she would not clear my daughter for school. After all of that drama, the physical exam paperwork was never even sent to the school as promised. It took me three months, two rounds of paperwork and a visit to the manager to withdraw my kids from the practice and get my files. It was terrible and my long-time doctor never even bothered to return my calls for assistance. Go anywhere else.

Dr. Coven insisted very emphatically my daughter needed to see a pediatric endocrinologist because she was going to be short (maybe 4'11 or 5'2") In front of my daughter she said this would be a disadvantage in life. Our whole family is short. We did not say it was a problem, she did. No other doctor brought it up before or since. She tried to set up an appointment with an out of network doctor that had scathing reviews, like an emergency, totally unprofessional. Stay away.

Dr. Coven was extremely rude and left my daughter upset and anxious after her appointment. Also, never received test results as promised.

Sloppy operations during checkup for our newborn son with many miscommunications between doctor and assistants. Also, doctor was rude and insensitive - impatient with our concerns and making the racial assumption that the baby's mother was at home because of cultural reasons, then later remarking your wife is not here so she can't complain when we tried to voice our concerns about the blood test. Lastly, we never received our test results though the doctor stated they'd be released to us.

Dr. Coven and her staff are rude and unprofessional.
