Excellent Dermatologist
I had visited Dr. Keyes for several issues and she had managed to treat all of them! My hair has grown back from patchy hair loss and my skin is now clear thanks to her! She spends plenty of time with you and she thoroughly explains conditions, what to watch for and treatment options. I would recommend her to anyone.

Beware!
I should start by saying this was my sister's visit but she's no longer here to make a review. Dr. Keyes was neglectful in her assessment. My sister had a large (larger than an egg) brown growth on her skin. Dr. Keyes said it was of no concern and didn't biopsy the growth. Several months later, another doctor noticed it and did a biopsy. It was an aggressive melanoma. She had surgery and was ok for several years until it came back in her bones and lungs and eventually her brain. She died six months after the recurrence. Please please do not go to this doctor for skin checks! I've heard of many other people who were watching and waiting only to find that they had extensive cancer. Dr. Keyes should not be practicing medicine.

I would be dead if I listened to her
Dr. Keyes said with confidence that the mole was benign, however it turned out to be melanoma. She was more concerned with the scar its removal would leave than the life she put in jeopardy. So hoping this does not happen to anyone else.

At Last! I was referred to a doctor who listens and is confident in finding a solution to a rash I’ve been battling for over a year. Dr. Keyes is a premier dermatologist.

Useless and clearly stupid
Unbelievably wrong diagnosis. I believe she scored in the low 200s on her mcat. Cannot distinguish eczema from fungal acne. Incompetent and long wait times

If you want to go to a dermatologist who does NOT wear a mask go see DR. BARBARA KEYES in Nashville (I saw her, May 14.) First she said she could not find one (other staff wore them.) Then she switched to "They're controversial." And then she switched again to, "I'm healthy anyway." Thinking she must have missed the memo that carriers can be asymptomatic I mentioned that but to no avail. Of course, Dr. Keyes has the right to go mask-less. Yet, she is regularly "in touch" with people with skin diseases. Is she putting them & others who trust her at risk? I asked my physician who said he would never refer to Dr. Keyes again. Note that my comment does not reference her competence, which I believe to be fine, but to her judgment on this issue, which is the reason I give her one star.

I have been seeing Dr. Keyes for several years and have always had a good experience with my appointments. She runs on time and you are not waiting forever. When she comes to the exam room, you do not feel rushed and then her care is very good with whatever issue you are having.

I made an appointment with Dr. Keyes for today. I had previously been referred by my PCP. When I arrived, I was told that I needed another referral. The lady at the desk gave me my insurance card and said, “See, it’s written right there on the card that you need a referral.” I did not appreciate the condescending attitude. The people who work at the front desk should assume that the patients are not illiterate. I will never go back.

I took my elderly mother to her Appt with Dr Keyes and we were astonished at how little time she spent with her. She was in and out in less than 5 minutes and didn't review her medication or other health problems. My mother didn't have a thorough examination and we're very disappointed with the care there. She was seen at Golds Skin care and the doctor there was very thorough and caring. He spent over 25 minutes with her and after testing was done cancer was found. Think twice!
