Dr. Barry Blum, MD

Dr. Blum validated my struggles with chronic pain. As a young adult it’s hard to get doctors to take me seriously. He was very thorough, more so than any other doctor i’ve seen. He’s straightforward and a bit blunt and that’s something that I appreciated though others may be put off by it from what i see on here. Even after one visit I knew that I wanted him to remain my PMD. Wait time was long but it was absolutely worth it.

The worst medical experience I have ever had with a doctor. Avoid at all cost. Appalling service, unprofessional, aggressive and frankly not becoming of a doctor. Worst of all he tried to blame staff at the practice for his mistakes. There are wonderful medical staff in this world, he lets them and the profession down. Don’t waste your time or your health.

i’ve been going to dr blum for 6 years. Dr blum saved my life he put me on life changing meds. He is very in-depth asked a lot of questions more then any doctor i ever met. he also helped me loose 50 lbs. whatever i need he always assists and the staff is great too i don’t understand the reason for the negative ratings i’m baffled because i always get treated well. also i’m lazy with getting meds filled on time and they always help me even if it’s last minute or fit me in to see him. My mental health & physical health is the best it’s ever been thanks to Dr Blum.

Stay away! He ended up yelling at me for 3 min and asked me to find another doctor before I hung up on him. You can do better.

He was the on-call doctor that was available for my issue. It was a short and unpleasant interrogation style of questioning from him. I have better experience from my insurance' own on-call doctors. Blum was like what the others have said, rude.

I've been looking for a long while for a doctor I'm comfortable with and trust. I asked several other doctors (who were not general practice) who they recommended for general, and his name came up more than once. After finally meeting him, I was very happy that I had found him. He's my general now.

I cannot complain about his staff. They are all friendly and very helpful! But I cannot say the same about Dr. Blum. He is insensitive, lazy and just plain rude. The last two visit I had with him I came out upset and very disappointed by the treatment I had received by this healthcare practitioner. He comes to the patient room greets you, doesn't even check your heart rate he asks you to follow him to his office. Meanwhile his replies to my concerns with rude and insensitive remarks.

My parents went to him for years...and it almost got my mother killed.

Very knowledgeable doctor!
