Excellent ofc/consult visit on 8/12/21. Exam was very thorough. Presented 2 choices for my cholesteatoma and retracted eardrum in my right ear. However I’m still not certain whether I should have surgery on my right ear. I have an A-fib and hi BP condition. I forgot to ask Dr Hirsch whether he can do Transcanal Endoscopic Ear Surgery on my right ear. This would be a less invasive procedure to remove the chlesteatoma and rebuild the right tympanic membrane (eardrum). I was referred to Dr Barry Hirsch by the Pittsburgh VA Center through Community Care.

Couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable or kind doctor. He is one of a kind. Excellent bedside manner and will take as much time with you as you need. I live about 40 miles away but it’s worth the drive to receive this level of care.
