The worst
The WORST PROVIDER. Rude. No bedside manner whatsoever. I was in the hospital for days due to sepsis and they performed a spinal tap and he DID NOT GO OVER POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS after the procedure!! So the next day I was in excruciating pain from my back to my head and he walks in tells me to stop crying, suck it up and talk to him. Keep in mind I was in pain I had been away from my kids so overall I was just upset and he made me feel like my pain was coming from me crying. If I ever see this man again I will tell him to get away from me! Stay clear from him.

Shocked that this Dr. is even allowed to continue seeing patients after reading reviews that are consistent with my experience, even years later. This dr spent less than 1 minute with me when I was in the hospital, yet he was the one in charge of overseeing all of my care. He completely dismissed my pain and concerns over my health when I had a life threatening infection that he described as “easy to treat”. I am glad that nursing staff witnessed him treating me the way I was treated so that they could vouch for me and my concerns. I did not allow him back in my room after seeing him display the same arrogant and ill compassionate attitude towards me, twice and I would never trust my health to be in this persons hands.

Rude /condescending /bully
No need to discuss Covid vaccination. It had nothing to do with the treatment plan that my doctor was supposed to be focused on. Trying to scare patients is not appropriate acceptable or ethical behavior. He definitely crossed the line of appropriateness and professionalism. Definitely.

Dr. Shefa was incredibly rude and insensitive to my family while taking care of my father. He incorrectly told us my father was dying and there was nothing left to do. Not only was this false, but he delivered this news in a crass and rude way. He made us feel stupid for asking questions or for asking him to clarify. It was terribly upsetting for my family. I have never been treated this way by a doctor. Not only did he make inappropriate medical decisions, he has no empathy for his patients or their families. He was truly awful.

This doctor does not deserve 1 star but I was not able to leave it blank. As mentioned above, he is abrasive & un-compassionate, along with arrogant, defensive & rude. He did not introduce himself to me or my daughter when he came to check on my husband, & acted insulted when we asked who he was. He told my husband he was dieing & did not know how long he would live. My husband does have Stage 4 cancer but none of his doctors had ever said anything like that before. We go to MD Anderson, one of the leading Cancer Centers in the world. My husband was in the hospital to manage side effects from his immunotherapy treatment. I informed the nurses station that I did not want him entering my husband’s room anymore.
