Dr. Basel Alebrahim, MD

I was admitted to hospital for RUQ pain due to a large mass on my liver. Dr. Alebrahim was my Hospitalist starting on day 4. He explained every test and procedure to us in great detail. He came to my room at least once a day, sometimes two or three times a day, and every time we asked for him. He was very caring, empathetic, and concerned about my well being. He even scheduled my outpatient appointment with the surgeon! Just have many nice things to say about him! Thank you for guiding and helping us through this difficult time!

In 2015, was at Banner Baywood and later Banner Desert for shortness of breath and chest pain. He reviewed my data prior to discharge from the observation unit. He told me there was nothing wrong with my heart, raked me over the coals for coming in and told me never to come back. Followup with cardiologist referred by PCP/insurance company showed rhythm disorder requiring cardiac cath to fix. Finally found records indicating he was discharge doctor. I would never go to hospitals unless coded.
