Great doctor, great staff, great office!
Had initial cardiology appointments after turning 50. Testing and follow-up and discussion of results were prompt and informative. Would recommend Dr. Hawkins and his office to anyone who wants or needs a heart doc.

Awesome Cardiologist
I have been a patient of Dr. Hawkins for over 5 years. He doesn't skip a beat. Always kind, caring and most importantly. - knowledgeable. He listens...... and he responds not in a way you want to hear, but what you need to know and the proposed plan for the best approach for your Heart Health. I am sad that he is leaving the OUHSC family, but intend to follow him unto his new journey. He is truly the BEST Cardiologist ever!

Dr. Hawkins and his staff are great at providing patient services. This gives you the impression that he is as good as a practitioner/surgeon. Unfortunately for me, he is/was not. The care he displays creates a trust in his abilities that in my opinion (as a doctor in a different discipline) are sub-par. This gives the patient a false sense of confidence. He practices at OU Medical, a teaching hospital, which means that the potential for complications is greater than that at other area hospitals (because residents learn by practicing on real-live people). That said, I don't know how much of my procedure was done by Dr. Hawkins and how much was done by a resident, but I'm dealing with outcomes that have altered my whole disposition. Aside from that, when I told Dr. Hawkins about the resultant issues from the procedure, his reaction was laughter, and then a statement about how many of the same procedure he has done in the past. No true compassion. Be wiser than I was.

Dr. Hawkins saved my life with CAD surgery. What more can one ask of his physician?
