RUSHED
Rushed and uncaring. I arrived for my appointment, no one in the waiting room, I was the only car parked out front of the office. I was taken back, the nurse was welcoming and listened to my concerns etc. Dr. Links rushed in, washed his hand very thoroughly, quickly scanned the notes entered by the nurse. I tried several times to have a conversation, but was dismissed each time with, 'let's get on it', let's get it done', 'here's a referral', and that was it, he rushed out of the room as quickly as he had entered. No wonder he wears running shoes! I left, still no one in the waiting room, so I am pretty sure they were not at all busy. This was my third visit in 5 months to Dr. Links, I feel I have given him a fair trial, I am not impressed. I want a doctor who will listen to me, not give me the bums rush.

Rude, uncaring, disrespectful, untruthful, just about all the qualities a family doctor should not have. Please do not go to this person. ( I don't even want to call him a doctor)

Will not be back
We have been seeing Jerry Dearth in Grabill for years. He is a great doctor! But he is retiring. Beau Links is his replacement and he is NOT a good replacement. I've only seen him a few times but it was enough to know that we will NOT be continuing . Unfortunately that means we will have to switch practices and go to someone further away. But I do not trust this doctor with our care. I saw him for an ear infection that was reoccurring this winter. Dr. Dearth was not available for a few days so I let them schedule me with Dr. Links. Dr. Links looked at my ear said it was a little pink but that I should just take acetaminophen and ibuprofen for the pain and that was it. I saw Dr. Dearth a few days later and yup, it was infection and I needed antibiotics. If I cant trust a doctor to believe me about an infection how can I trust him with our more complicated care?

I need a Doctor not a Drill Instructor
Refused to renew a prescription for an over the counter Acid Reflux medicine I have been prescribed by this office for years. Told me to keep using it but that I should buy it over the counter. When I ask him to reconsider because by prescription it is FREE if he prescribes it but over the counter cost $40 per month. He still refused and literally told me that he was going to have 5000 patients and need to concentrate on people who really needed prescription medicine not ones that could buy the needed medicine over the counter. I tired to talk to him about another issue I was having during the appointment and he got annoyed cut me off and said 'so we are not talking about acid reflux anymore' Then he continued and never revisited what I was trying to ask about. Dr. Derth at this officer is retiring and Links is his replacement. Derth was awesome what a loss. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! Dr. Links was Rude did not want to listen or answer the questions I had. He does not care!

We've dealt with dozens of doctors and specialists over many years for one of our kids who was born with some birth defects. This doctor reported our family to DCS because we disagreed with his diagnosis and declined his referrals, which he based solely on numbers in his computer...which he didn't look up from during visits. In his report to DCS, he didn't include any of the medical history relevant to the condition he reported us for. New doctor has striken the diagnosis.

Am I on Candid Camera? This has to be a joke.
I took my son to see Beau Links a year ago and the treatment I received was so poor, I vowed to never go back. Well, the other doctor in the practice was booked up for several weeks so my husband took my son yesterday and after the visit, said “well, I see why you don’t like him.” Apparently he interpreted and spoke over my husband the entire time. At one point, it was a battle of wills because they both refused to quit talking. My eight year old son has major anxiety and my fiancé requested a CBC be ordered and the doctor looked at my son and said “oh a blood test with a sharp needle, that’s really going to hurt.” (Seriously!) We actually have another appointment next week with the preferred doctor in the practice to basically repeat the same appointment, only this time with some competency and compassion involved. If you are in complete desperation and enjoy the gamble of whether your time will be wasted, perhaps make it into a game to see how often you’re interrupted and good luck!

Rude
My visit with Dr. Links was less then 5 min. He was very rude and dismissive of my medical issues. He walked in read the nurses notes. Made a few condensing remarks. Did not listen to my concerns and seemed to want to get me out as a soon as possible. I left feeling disrespected with no solution to my ongoing medical problem.

Great option for the Leo-Grabill area!
Dr Links listened, provided valuable feedback. Friendly, attentive, informative, intelligent. It was a great experience for myself as a new patient. The other reviews saying otherwise seem a little bit wacky.

Very thorough!
I started seeing Dr. Links about a month ago for my anxiety and depression issues, and his schedule had a variety of time available, as my other doctor did not, so I switched providers. I was able to be seen immediately when I needed help, and anything I had questions about, he always had a legit answer. He explained my medications side effects, options of dosage and follow up appointment. Everything has been great at this office, and I highly recommend him.

A Good Doctor
Being able to complete all new patient paperwork online made it very easy. Was even able to pay in advance and checked in online as well. The staff was very kind. Dr. Links was timely and really nice. We reviewed my My Chart and he asked a lot questions regarding my medical history. I rarely go to the doctor with my last visit being four years ago. I had 3 concerns for him and he addressed all of them and prioritized them as well. Dealing with one will help with the other two. The length of visit was about right. I felt good that we formulated a plan together and am confident there will be improvement before my next visit in 6 months.

Poor communication skills.
I have only had a few visits with Dr. Links but each time I have visited him he seems to hastily dismiss all of my health concerns without providing any good explanation why my health concerns are invalid. Dr. Links asks questions, but he doesn't seem interested in my answers to those questions, as he tends to react to the very first statement out of my mouth rather that waiting for me to fully answer the question. Consequently, when I leave Dr. Links' office I feel even more hopeless than when I arrived. Currently, I am sicker than I have ever been before in my life, without any anwers, and this causes me a lot of anxiety. Dr Links tries to reassure me by saying that he is not concerned about the health problems I am having, but he needs to recognize that he is not the one suffering 24/7 for several months. He may not be concerned about my health issues, but I AM CONCERNED, and I need to find a Dr who addresses such concerns from the perspective of the patient.

Never Again
Let's see, where do I begin. He was rude, condescending, interrupted & talked over me. Because he did not listen, I did not get questions answered. I mentioned I was thinking about getting a monitor for my blood sugar & he quickly got online & had it ordered & told me where to pick it up...no discussion or questions. I have never in my life been treated so horrendously by a doctor. I will not only never see him again, but the only recommendation I will give to anyone I know is, DON'T EVER USE DR. BEAU LINKS, DO.
